Title

Feeling depressed and tired of life, can you help me?

Question

I am married and I have 2 children who are ages 4 and 7. For the last 3 years I have found myself being depressed for several reasons. I used to be so strong in my iman, now I am in such a state that I am afraid of myself, I just can not cope with life and people. I always feel tired and helpless. My husband does not understand me even though I tried to explain to him. Could you please give me the best advice about my situation, am I committing a sin by being tired of life?

Answer

In order to be able to help you, we need to know a little more information. You say that you have been depressed for several reasons, but you do not state what those reasons are. You have a child who is four years old, is there a chance that your depression started after the birth of that child? It is possible, but we cannot base that on any information other than what you have provided. People feel depressed and tired of life for several reasons. We would like to know more about you to be able to help you better.

Please, do write back and feel free to provide more detail as to what you believe is leading to your depression.
