Sheikh Faysal Mawlawi is the deputy head of the European Council for Fatwa and Research.
More About Sheikh Mawlawi:
Born in Tripoli, Northern Lebanon, in 1941.
He obtained a BA in Law at Lebanon Univ., Faculty of Law and a BA in Islamic Shari`ah at Damascus Univ., Faculty of Shari`ah.
He was appointed as a legal judge in the Shari`ah Court in Beirut.
He founded the Islamic Association and the European College for the Islamic Studies in France.
He played a vital role in the establishment of the European Council for Fatwa and Research in UK in 1997 under the leadership of the eminent Muslim scholar, Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, and he currently works as Deputy Chairman of the Council.
He was awarded by the WAMY (World Assembly of Muslim Youth) as the best Muslim Preacher.
He participated in a lot of national and international Islamic conferences and lectures.
