Answer

Wa `alaykum as-salamu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Dear brother in Islam, we are really impressed by your question which shows how concerned you are about the affairs of your fellow Muslims who are oppressed in Palestine, Iraq, etc. May Allah help us all lead a righteous life based on Islam!

As for your question, it is the duty of Muslims to defend justice and spread peace throughout the world. This should be done through all possible legal channels. The Internet, in fact, is one of the most efficient and effective media outlets in the modern world. Muslims, therefore, should precede others in making use of the Internet to defend justice and spread the light of Islam.

In his response to your question, Dr. Sano Koutoub Moustapha, professor of Fiqh and its Principles, International Islamic University, Malaysia, states:

Thank you for you question. Muslims have to introduce and present Palestinian issues to the whole world through the Internet. They have to show the atrocities and brutality, which have been going on for decades against the helpless Palestinians.

The world should know, through the Internet, every single act of brutality and injustice, which is committed against the Palestinians not only on a daily basis but also in every single second of the day.

It is a noble task to undertake such a duty through the world wide web hoping that the people who still have hearts would come to the assistance of the Palestinians for the right intentions.

The world should also know, through the Internet, about the humiliation and indecent treatment which the Iraqis have been experiencing in their own land. It is about time that the Iraqis be allowed the right to self determination. They are mature enough to take such a decision hoping that there will be a quick end to the unjust occupation of their land.

May Allah help all oppressed and depressed Muslims throughout the world.
