Title

Israeli Dominance & Its Relationship to Judgment Day

Question

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have stated that the portents of the Day of Judgment would come very quickly and his message was the beginning of those portents. What is happening right now? How is it possible that Israel is so powerful on earth? Is there a relationship between the dominant power of Israel and the portents of the Day of Judgment?

Afflictions & Portents of the Last Hour

Answer

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Dear questioner, thank you very much for having confidence in us, and we hope our efforts, which are purely for Allah's Sake, meet your expectations.

Before answering your question, we would like to stress that there are minor and major portents of the Day of Judgment. What is happening in Palestine nowadays is not something related to the major portents of the Day of Judgment. The Israeli dominance is done within the Will of Allah Who is giving the Zionists respite but there will come a time when such power will be snatched away. This is based on many Qur’anic verses and Prophetic Hadiths. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said, “Allah gives respite to the wrongdoer until, when He seizes him, He does not let him go.” Then he recited, “Such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful (and) severe.” (Hud: 102) (Reported by Al-Bukhari, 4409; Muslim, 2583.)

As Muslims, we are required to back our oppressed brothers and sisters in Palestine, Iraq, and in every part of the world where Muslims face oppression. Our support should include joining hands with the peace-loving nations, boycotting the products of Israel, America, and their allies, paying Zakah and charity to help our brothers and sisters, writing articles in the world media that expose the double standard policy of the US and Israel.

Responding to the question, the prominent Saudi Islamic lecturer and author Sheikh M. S. Al-Munajjid, states the following:

"The portents of the Hour are not all of the same degree; rather some of them are minor and some are major. The major signs are those which, when the first one appears, the others will follow like beads falling from a broken string. Regarding the minor signs, there is a long period of time between the first and the last of them. The sending of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was one of the minor signs of the Hour, not one of the major portents.

It was narrated that Anas Ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I and the Hour have been sent like these two.” He said that while holding up his index and middle fingers together.
(Reported by Al-Bukhari, 6139; Muslim, 2951.)

Here, Imam Al-Qurtubi said: “The first of the portents of the Hour is the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), because he is the Prophet of the end of time. He has been sent and there will be no Prophet between him and the Day of Resurrection.” (Al-Tadhkirah)

As to the dominant power of Israel, I would like to stress that the Jews have achieved such power and dominance by the Will and Decree of Allah. He Almighty says, “Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allah, and from men…” (Al `Imran :112)

Allah has given them power and respite, but that is only so that when He does seize them, He will seize them severely.

It was narrated that Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Allah gives respite to the wrongdoer until, when He seizes him, He does not let him go.” Then he recited, “Such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful (and) severe.” (Hud:102) (Reported by Al-Bukhari, 4409; Muslim, 2583.)

At the time of the Mahdi and when `Isa (Jesus — peace and blessings be upon him) comes down, the Muslims’ victory over the Jews will be complete.

It is proven (in the Prophetic Sunnah) that when the leader of Muslims, the Mahdi, comes to lead them in praying Fajr, `Isa Ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary) will come down to them, and the imam will step back so that `Isa can come forward and lead the prayer, but `Isa will put his hand on his back and say, “Go forward and lead the prayer, for the iqamah was given for you.” So their imam will lead them in prayer, and when he has finished, then `Isa will head towards the Dajjal, with whom will be seventy thousand Jews. When the Dajjal looks at him, he will melt like salt in water, and the Messiah `Isa (peace be upon him) will catch up with him at the gate of Lud (which is a town near Jerusalem) and kill him. Then Allah will cause the defeat of the Jews, and there will be nothing that Allah has created that a Jew hides behind, but Allah will cause that thing to speak. Rocks, trees, walls and animals will all say, “O Muslim, O slave of Allah, here is a Jew, come and kill him!” — except for the box-thorn tree (al-gharqad), for it is one of their trees and will not speak.

Thus, if Muslims want to defeat the Jews and all their enemies, they have to turn back to Allah and support His religion until Allah grants them victory, for the Jews are too insignificant for words, but they took advantage of the fact that the Muslims have turned away from their religion. We earnestly implore Allah to guide Muslims to return back to their religion and to be more religiously committed, Amen."
