So you've been waiting for the chance to do something for your community, for the worldwide community? Well, here is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Ansaar foundation in Toronto, Canada are taking a giant step forward by organizing a multi-faith walk-a-thon to raise money for the homeless in the Toronto area.

The motto of Ansaar foundation says it all, "The best of humanity is the one who serves humanity best." In the world today the media is trying to create a negative image about Muslims. But, Allah willing, if we hold strong to the teachings of the Qu'ran and Sunnah and reach out with helping hands to the poor and needy, Allah the Almighty will turn all this negative propaganda around and people will see the true message of Islam, which is peace.

We have a joint responsibility to help organizations like Ansaar Foundation who are striving to do something positive for their community and put the real essence of Islam into practice. Allah the Almighty says: [We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures] (Al-Anbiyaa’ 21:107). Muslims are supposed to be a source of mercy for mankind.

What greater hardship and calamity than homelessness; having no place to go. May Allah help the homeless and may He help us to help them. If you can't take part in the walk-a-thon being held by Ansaar Foundation, then you can donate something that will be a blessing saved for you in the Hereafter, where we will all see the good and bad deeds we did in this life.
