One Man's Day in London Town

By  T. L. Vicedomine

Image
One man grieves, as his world is at loss

And the world is at loss as he grieves...

And one man kills for his country's cause

Yet the true cause he never perceives...

Then one man cries, as his home is destroyed

What's destroyed is the honor of men.

For God in His grace, and His Glory, is scorned.

The praise of His name we offend.

And some men bomb and the innocence shed...

Blood on walls, which once shined so white.

And victory cheered, in the name of Our God

Who never suggested we fight

And some cry now, Do we know what it is

That we all are still fighting for?

The prophets will sigh, as they look to the sky.

And pray for the peace they implore

Yet pen has no message, for those suffering souls...

Their armor shines bullets of steel...

At the end of the day, their work has been toiled..

And we're left in a world that's surreal.
