Remembering Israel's Apartheid Wall

Will The Time Come When The Wall is Down?

By  Politics in Depth Team

"Tear down the wall", a slogan still remembered by peoples across Europe, referring to the historic destruction of the much-despicable Berlin Wall that divided Germany, since the very inception of the Cold War, into two different parts; a Communist state versus a Western one.

However, in the heartlands of Palestine, the abominable Israel's Separation Wall does not only divide between Palestinians, but also further tears apart many Palestinian families.

Israel's Separation Wall literally cuts off millions of Palestinians from their human livelihood by pushing families' members, lands, schools, hospitals, and neighborhoods behind the wall, leaving them in continuous unbearable situation.

Although the International Court of Justice has ruled that the Israeli Wall is illegal, and numerous international civil society organizations have called for its destruction, Israel shamelessly continues erecting the wall, insisting on depriving Palestinians of their basic rights.

While the Berlin Wall's fall is considered a great upheaval that changed Europe to the better in every aspect, Palestinians fears that their inalienable rights might be jettisoned by the eerie acquiescence of European nations to the Apartheid Wall.

It is not clear whether the international community still seriously considers tearing down the Apartheid Israeli Wall in the fashion of the Berlin Wall.

IslamOnline.net would like to refresh readers with previously published materials on Israeli's Apartheid Wall.
