Much controversy has surrounded the ritual slaughter of animals in the past months. As `Eid Al-Adha knocks on our doors, the debate intensifies. Is a cut to the throat of an animal with the intention of using the animal's meat and leather a form of cruelty? Are other forms of killing the animal more merciful?
