These days many are facing dangerous infectious and contagious diseases, such as swine flue, bird flu, and AIDS. Unfortunately, some of these diseases are incurable. Many people overwhelmingly worried because of such diseases.

Islam, as a way of life, pays due attention to people's health and hygiene. Many Qur'anic verses and Prophetic hadiths encourage Muslims to take preventive measures that can restrict the spread of infections. Other verses and hadiths urge them to take medication and seek the necessary treatment of diseases.
