Every now and then, the question arises whether non-Muslims in Muslim countries enjoy full religious rights or not. As far as Shari`ah is concerned, minorities living in Muslim states enjoy unprecedented and unparalleled rights in all aspects of their lives. Minorities, likewise, should carry out specific duties towards the Muslim states where they live in order to secure the stability and well-being of society.
