The world's financial system seems to be going from bad to worse in most countries. Some of the world's leading economic powers (namely,Germany and Japan) officially confirmed that their economy is in recession, bringing to mind the Great Depression of the 1930s.
In the midst of this global financial crisis, many individuals became direct victims of the economic turmoil. It has been a bad time for many people who had plans for this time of the year, including those who planned to go for Hajj.
Several reports forecast a not-so-affordable Hajj this year, because of the soaring prices of flights, hotel reservations, and other services and commodities. All this may disrupt the Hajj plans of many people this year.
