Lena Khan, an aspiring American filmmaker, decided to present the heated presidential race between Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain but in her special way. Vote Smarter is the title of the satire comedy series Khan did on the US elections.
As stated on its website, Vote Smarter series are not official commercials of the Obama campaign, nor are they affiliated with any non-profit or political organization. Khan raised money from her family, friends and community to make these commercials, in hopes that the American viewer will watch them and then vote smarter on November 4.
Lena Khan is graduated from Film School, University of California, Los Angeles, and following the independent filmmaking career to raise awareness about social issues through movies. Khan has worked for film development at Participant Productions company with films like Syriana, Good Night and Good Luck, and The Kite Runner.
