By  Living Shari`ah Staff

Ramadan is the month of discipline, self-control, patience, and good behavior. In Ramadan, Muslims are expected to gain the fruits of Fasting, namely, piety and consciousness of Allah. In this context, Allah, Most High, says in the Glorious Qur'an, (O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, even as it was prescribed for those before you, that ye may ward off evil) (Al-Baqarah 2: 183).

Every Muslim, man or woman, yearns to gain Allah's forgiveness and mercy in Ramadan. Therefore, he or she should observe Ramadan ethics and rulings. In doing so, he or she has to learn the rulings of Fasting so as to fast in accordance with the Prophet's teachings.

In the 200+ Fatwas on Ramadan and Fasting folder, all relevant fatwas covering all aspects of Ramadan will be made accessible to our dear viewers and audience. In so doing, we in the Living Shari`ah department intend to help Muslims, and even non-Muslims, know all about Ramadan and Fasting.
