AIDS Vaccine: Worthwhile or Waste of Money?

After the failure of the most ambitious clinical trials for an AIDS vaccine, there is a strong debate on where should the fight against HIV be taken next. Some funders want to stop putting money into vaccine research and focus on different methods.

During the International AIDS Conference 2008 currently taking place in Mexico City, Mexico, IslamOnline.net's Health and Science section caught up with Mitchell Warren, executive director of the AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition (AVAC), to hear his opinion.
