Shah Alam Mosque in Malaysia

Islam is the official religion in the multi-religious society of Malaysia. More than 50 percent of the population in Malaysia are Muslims.

During the reign of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz, Shah Alam Mosque was built between 1982 and 1988. The Mosque is also known as the Blue Mosque owing to its blue dome which is one of the largest in the whole world. The structure of the mosque incorporates Malay and Islamic architecture.

Shah Alam Mosque is the largest mosque in Malaysia and one of the most famous landmarks in Shah Alam.
