Only few days separate us from Ramadan, the month of special, long-awaited godly rewards and blessings.

IslamOnline.net's Shari`ah team is working on a new page for Ramadan 1428. In addition to our usual sections, this page will have a special theme: Qur'an for Life.

Every Ramadan we compete with one another to recite and memorize as much as possible of the Qur'an. Yet, do we get the maximum benefit from such recitation? Are we motivated by the verses we recite? Muslims now have millions of copies of the Qur'an, a number that certainly was not available to Prophet Muhammad's Companions and early generations of Muslims. However, unlike us, they lead the world.

Clearly, there is a problem in our approach toward the Qur'an.

Your ideas are welcome regarding the reasons and manifestations of and cures for this problem; they may be published in the forthcoming page.

You can also tell us about your experience with the Qur'an, especially your reflections on certain surahs or verses or the techniques you follow "to get connected" to the Qur'an.

Also, the page will feature a section for children's recitations of the Qur'an. If you want, let your children see their photos and listen to their recitations on IslamOnline.net! Send us your children's record of a short surah or a few verses of the Qur'an along with their photos, names, ages, and country.

Send your contributions to Ramadan1428@iolteam.com

Your suggestions for developing the page are welcome too. Tell us about your new ideas, your expectations and any features you would like to see in the page by adding your comments below.

This widget will help you to store, organize, search, and manage your favorite online content through a range of social bookmarking services. These services permit users to save links to websites that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, but can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, or shared only inside certain networks. Authorized people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or through a search engine. Most social bookmarking services also permit their users to vote and rank public bookmarks to determine which are the best ones according to the number of votes they get.
