Reflections From the Youth – It’s Never too Late

There comes a point in life where things seem to be very tangled up; where nothing seems to be right even though it is. I am engaged in a constant quest with my soul or maybe with my nafs (desires) to be more precise. I see possibilities around me and I feel curious how it all just happened so right in this life.

I agree that when girls become ladies and boys become men they go through a big transformation which is no doubt hard for some to control, as emotions and sentiments are rising and forming...some are misled and some just lead to ways that are wrong.

What is the percentage of girls and boys who overcome this stage of puberty successfully? Think of the reason behind the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said:“When a girl or a boy reaches the stage of puberty get him/her married off.”

Concepts might change with time but facts remain the same and education is a main factor of why girls or boys aren't married off at the age of 17-20.

I personally feel that parents don't have to spend their whole life taking care of children and some children are left as orphans as youth approaches and the conclusion to all this is that we should  actually commit ourselves to ways of pleasing Allah.

I know Satan tries his best to lead us astray but insha Allah if we keep reminding ourselves of the Last Day surely Allah will lead us aright. It only requires our sincerity and hard work. We didn't come to this world for comfort and triumph but for toil and sorrow yet Allah the Most High gives us  happiness and blessings everyday.

It won’t be long until the Day when the trumpet will be blown, and the dead who have been buried six feet under the soil will arise. Chaos will spread, mountains will be like carded wool and there will be hustle and bustle everywhere. No one will remember their mother, child or father. The day isn't far...start repenting, as Allah the Most High is most forgiving. He loves you so much more than your parents even though we think parents are the only ones who wish the best for us.

Allah has made things so easy for us so why do we get lazy when the time comes to meet Allah five times a day? Why doesn't this laziness appear when we have to meet a friend and why do we get so restless each and every minute we wait to reach his/her place? Allah waits for us to show up but how often do we show up on time for prayer? But it’s never too late...
