- Please take off from school or work and celebrate Eid! Eid is more
important than that problem set, paper, or program you're working on.
EID PRAYERS: Salat al Eid al-Fitr

- The ISSU will insha'Allah continue the tradition of joining the

local community centers for Salat al-Eid. There are three main locations
that we will be attending. Zakat al-Fitr (required charity) will be
collected at these locations. IMPORTANT: if you need a ride for Eid
prayers, please contact the contact person given below.

3. Shi'a Muslim Association of the Bay Area (SABA), San Jose

EID LUNCHEON. AFTER EID PRAYERS: KFC THE DHABIHA WAY @ 12:30 PM

- After the Eid prayers we will all insha'Allah meet at Elliot Program

Center at 12:30 PM for dhuhr and the ISSU Eid Luncheon. As a special
treat we have arranged for a Muslim owned KFC to prepare 100%
Dhabiha Halal Kentucky Fried Chicken, and to cover the cost of
the food we are asking $3 / person. The event (like the other events
for the day) is open to the whole ISSU family: students, alumni,
faculty, staff, families, friends, and community members. Please
invite your friends, all are welcome!

- After indulging in the fried chicken and bonding with our fellow
Muslims, we may engage in a variety of informal activities, such
as sports, hiking, shopping (?!), or a sightseeing trip to the City (and
proceed from there straight to the ISSU banquet). If it is a sunny
day, please bring soccer balls, footballs, volleyballs, etc.
EID BANQUET. 7:45 p.m. in the city.

- The final event for the Eid will insha'Allah be the Eid banquet.

We are planning to meet at a nice seafood restaurant in SF
at 8 pm and we would like this to be a formal event.
The cost will be partially subsidized by the ISSU, please
expect to pay about $10 / person.

- This should be a great event and a last chance to eat dinner in
style with the ISSU at a scenic location in the City before we all
return to the normalcy of our post-Ramadhan lives. More info about
location and directions will follow within the next 2 days, but keep
in mind that we will be leaving around 7 pm from Stanford.
