The iqama time of Isha during Ramadan is 8 p.m. Salat ul-Tarawih will follow Isha immediately thereafter.
The Egyptian Consulate has graciously provided guest Qari Sayed Abd El Shafy Ahmed Helal to stay with us during Ramadan, alhamdulillah. Shaykh Abd El Shafy's will be arriving Saturday night and will be leaving us on November 25. ICO is calling for a list of reliable Arabic speaking volunteers to provide transportation to and from the ICO for each and every prayer.
There is special reward for your donations during this month. To support the shaykh’s residence and to treat him in a proper way during this month will require your donations above and beyond sadaqat ul-fitr. By now you have all read your newsletter and have some idea of ICO’s financial state. To continue to support these activities we need your support. I cannot remember any time since 1996 when we were blessed with three shayukh al-Azhar when we were blessed with such capable reciters of the Qur’an. Ramadan is a time of tilawa ul-Qur’an mu`tadabboor, and please ask yourself what this month is worth to you and what is being provided for your benefit.
