Dr. Salah As-Sawi is currently working as the Secretary General for the Assembly of Muslim Jurists in America (AMJA). This is in addition to his work as a legislative consultant/adviser for Dar Al-Salam in Maryland, USA.
Dr. As-Sawi was a vice-president of the American Open University from its opening in 1995 until 2004.
He was previously an assistant professor both in the Faculty of Shari`ah and Law at Al-Azhar University, Egypt, and Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia.
