In fact, I am so sad that many Muslim scholars are lagging behind in carrying out their duty towards Gaza and its people.

I commend the stance of the Saudi scholars who severely criticized the oppressive war on Gaza, and asked Muslims to assist the oppressed people of Gaza by all possible means.

In fact, scholars should explain the crisis from its different dimensions, explaining the roots and historical backgrounds of the crisis.

In short, scholars should lead people and guide them in assisting the oppressed people in Gaza by all possible means and through all legal channels.

In fact, Islamic resistance in Gaza does their sacred duty in defending their lands against the oppressive occupation.

According to all laws, Divine or man-made, people have the right to defend their lands against occupation.

Given the above, Islamic residence in Gaza is carrying out their duty in defending their land and their honor. Those who criticize and condemn them should support the truth and fear Allah. The responsibility for what is happening in Gaza falls on the oppressive occupation, not on those who defend their lands.

I really see what is going on in Gaza as historical chance for Muslims and for all honorable people to correct and reform the situation in the occupied land of Palestine through defending the oppressed Palestinians in the face of the merciless occupying forces.

It is a chance for us all to liberate occupied lands and to restore our honor and dignity.

I believe that Muslims can achieve victory over the Zionist aggression if they carry out their duty in assisting the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza by all possible legal means.

It is a golden chance for all free people of the world to extend helping hand to the suffering people in Palestine and stop the aggression and injustice.

Offering funeral Prayer in absentia for martyrs is a controversial issue among jurists.

There is nothing wrong in performing (salatul-Gha'ib for our brothers in Gaza according to Shafi`i scholars. It is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) prayed (salatul-Gha'ib for An-Najashi after his death.

It is permissible for Muslims to offer Dua`a` Al-Qunut in each obligatory Prayer during calamities and afflictions. We are now in a great catastrophe and it is therefore good to offer this du`aa' in Prayers. Ibn `Abbas is reported to have said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made qunut consecutively for one month in the Zhuhr, `Asr, Maghrib, `Isha, and Fajr Prayers. At the end of every Prayer, after saying "Allah hears him who praises Him" in the last rak`ah, he would supplicate Allah against Ri`l, Dhakwan, and `Usiyyah of Banu Sulaim, and the people behind him would say “Ameen.”

There is a difference between honorable "peace" and unjust "submission".

Islam calls for peace that is based on justice, honor, and strength. It also does not accept oppressive submission and injustice.

The occupied forces in Palestine call for injustice and oppression, and this is proved thorough their history in the occupied lands. So, a call to negotiate with Israelis without giving Palestinians their rights and freedom is not acceptable.
