Dr. Aneesah Nadir, MSW, PhD is the founder and CEO of Dr. Aneesah Nadir & Associates. Dr. Nadir is a social worker, author, consultant, diversity trainer, marriage and family life educator. During her approximately seventeen-year career as an educator she taught human services courses at Ottawa University in Arizona, and social work courses at Arizona State University’s Department of Social Work.
Her primary focus is on social work with American Muslims. Her research includes a study regarding the life experiences of young Muslim women in America, Social Worker's Perceptions and Preparation for Working with Muslims in the US and Canada, and the History of Muslims in Arizona.
Dr. Nadir serves as the President of the Islamic Social Services Association in US, and is a founder and ex-President of the Islamic Social Services Association in US and Canada. She is a member of the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) governing board. She coordinates ISSA-USA’s Sakinah Healthy Marriage Initiative, a national effort among Muslims in the US and MANA’s Healthy Marriage Initiative which focuses on African American Muslims and Muslims in the US inner cities.

From her wealth of experience in working closely with young single and married couples, Dr. Nadir will answer your questions to help you finding tools for communication and solve problems you may face in getting married because of family disapproval.
