Dr. Farooq Hassan is the Special UN Ambassador for Family for World Family Alliance. He is a specialist in international law, with doctorates from Oxford, Columbia, and Harvard. He is a barrister at law (UK), an attorney at law (US), senior advocate Supreme Court (QC) of Pakistan. He was Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Nations for five years, a delegate to the UN High Commission on Human Rights, and leader of Pakistan’s delegation the International Criminal Court Prep Coms.
Among other things Dr. Hassan is now on the Faculties of Foreign Affairs & Law, Harvard University; the Secretary General, American Asian Institute of Strategic Studies, Boston; international legal counsel before transnational tribunals and US Congress; David M. Kennedy Scholar of International Studies, Kennedy Center, Brigham Young University 2003-04; president, Pakistan Family Forum; member International Advisory Board, United Families International.
