Dr. Gale has a doctorate in Instructional Technology. Speaking at the Doha International Conference for the Family on Monday, November 29, Dr. Gale said that powerful media causes involuntary, consistent, predictable
responses. He spoke not only of images of a sexual nature on TV and in movies, but also of the way fathers are often portrayed as bumbling idiots and children as the ones who are knowledgeable.

He suggested as solutions that pro-family activists promote media iteracy,
that we produce our own programs, that people of different faiths work
together on this because we have shared beliefs on the importance of the family, and that we agitate for family-friendly media. He also encouraged
family story-telling as an alternative to TV and computers.
