Dr. Fauzi Najjar was born in Lebanon in 1921. He received his B.A. in Political Science At the American University of Beirut and his PhD from the College of Social Sciences at the University of Chicago in 1954. Dr. Najjar taught at both of his alma maters before accepting his teaching post in the Center for Social Sciences and Integrative Affairs at Michigan State University.
For over 60 years Dr. Najjar has been following Middle Eastern affairs and has written numerous articles in journals concerning Middle East Politics, U.S. involvement in the Middle East, and Islamic Resurgence. He is currently Professor Emeritus at Michigan State University and continuous his scholarship endeavourers through writing and editing journal articles and editing Arabic/Islamic Manuscripts.
