Question Reading through the text of the roadmap, I noticed that the very basic condition behind it is the cease of violence on the Palestinian side. Some would argue that the suicide bombings are one of the main reasons behind the Israeli operations in the occupied territories. Would a cessation of those operations help? If you think not, please give me examples so that I can support my argument. Thank you.
Answer In the name of Allah... the martyrdom operations were never to happen if the Israeli occupation did not exist. Thus the Israeli occupation is the cause of the Martyrdom operations, not vice versa. Ceasing the operations and resistance would never cease the occupation.

Palestine was partially occupied in 1948, and the rest of Palestine was occupied in 1967, which means that the occupation is 55 years old in part of Palestine and 36 years for the other parts in the West Bank and Gaza, whereas the Martyrdom operations are very new. The occupation began long before the Martyrdom operations, and it never ceased.

When the Palestinian Authority (PA) hit the resistance in 1996 and disabled it, it was given nothing in Camp David. Which means that ceasing resistance has not ceased the occupation, as some people argued.

Question Sheikh Ahmad Yassin stated that Hamas is willing to put down its arms if a Palestinian state is established. Is this true? What are your plans, as Hamas, if the roadmap does take effect?
Answer When Sheik Ahmad Yassin talks he represents Hamas, and not the PA. Hamas, accordingly, refuses to concede any part of Palestine. When the Palestinian state is to be esablished on the whole land of Palestine, we'll find no one to resist. If the Palestinian state is to be esablished on the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in accordance with the Islamic point of view, without concessions made to the rest of Palestine, we are ready to declare truce ceasefire. This is what Sheikh Ahmad Yassin meant in his statement.

Question Distinguished Sir,

Under what conditions does Hammas accept peace with Israel? Do you accept peace with Israel in the first place? How do you see the prospects of peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis?
Answer If sister Sarah means leaving 80% of Palestine for the Israelis, Hamas would not accept this peace. Accordingly Hamas would accept truce with Israel, but not the permanent and comprehensive peace with Israel, which means concessions over Palestine.

This is religiously, nationally, and morally rejected and refused by Hamas. The British occupied Egypt. Should we have left the Suez Canal for the British in return for peace? This is surrender, not peace.

Question How do you foresee relations with the Palestinian new government in the future? Will it be confrontational? Are there any specific efforts done to avoid tensions in relations with the PA?
Answer I can't see any confrontions with the PA, especially when Sharon is denying the roadmap plan. And all Palestinians are with resistance and against the roadmap. All factions declared refusal the roadmap, including Fatah group. This means that any measure taken by the Authority against any of the factions is a measure against the whole people. Accordingly the confrontation will never happen, resistance will continue, and I cannot foresee any peace with Israel in the future.

Question Assalamu-Aleukum, May Allah protect you and all the other brothers and sister of palastine people in your fighing for your freedom and justice.

Israil's strategy of fighting with freedom fighters like Hamas and Jihad was failed and back fired recidentally, What do think the new strategy that Israil may could use in order to contnue their occupation in palastine? like placing a Palastine's solution into American's new Middle East map.

Salaam,
-Yasin-
Answer Israel experienced the Palestinian struggle in the first Intifada, and is witnessing it now in this second one. In the first Intifada, Israel used all means to suppress the Intifada, but it failed. Then it resorted to establishing an authority to negotiate with and to suppress resistance, as what happened in 1996.

Negotiations ended with nothing. But Israel succeeded in making the PA suppress resistance. At the same time, Israel continued confiscation of lands, and paving roads around settlements. Thus, the enemy succeeded in ending the Intifada, and continuing its hostile project. In the second Intifada, the enemy has been desperate to cease this Intifada, thus tried again to put an end to the Intifada and resistance by establishing a new government to take the role. When the first government refused to take the role and do the dirty job of 1996, Israel insisted on establishing a new government to take the role through the Americans. I don't expect them to succeed this time, and the Intifada and resistance will continue, if God Wills.

Question As-salaamu-alaikum,

There seems to be a lot of pressure by the United States to force Muslim Countries to denounce Arm Struggle against Zionist regimes. How does America's presence in Iraq affect the organization Hamas?
Answer I can't deny that the American presence in Iraq will have some influence, but this influence will form no hindrance to stop resistance. Our movement has never received any support from any of the Arab and Muslim countries. Financial support comes from individuals in secret, away from the eyes of those governments.

Our movement also has no branch outside Palestine, and all our fighters are inside Palestine, so none of the governments will be able to exert direct pressure on the movement. Leadership in the movement is placed in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and abroad. When the leadership was hit in Palestine, the leadership abroad continued performance. If the leadership abroad is to be pressurized, leadership in Palestine will continue.

As you see, although we cannot deny the influence, this influence will not affect our work.

Question Salem aleikum wa rahmet ALLAH
Following the algerian example, where France occupied this country without accepting any alternatives, then the algerian turned to a general war of liberation.
Don`t you think that Palestine and the whole muslim nation in general have no others issue than to "accept" either to go into a conflict, or to live under colonialistes conditions.
Answer What Alladin says is right. Palestinians have only two options; either to resist or pay the price for not resisting, since we are dealing with a colonizing occupation. Such occupation will never end without resistance.

We either resist it, and put an end to it, or live as slaves. The Palestinians decided to resist, and I am sure that this generation of Palestinian children who are throwing rocks at Israeli tanks are the generation of victory.

The matter needs patience until we finally feel the consequences of resistance. It would not make sense to find Israelis more patient for their aims than Palestinians are for their freedom.

Question Would you consider Israel's bombing of Gaza an immediate reaction to the Roadmap? What is your reaction to this?
Answer Let me say clearly that the Israeli project aims at establishing the Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates. Accordingly, we pay the price for those religious and mythical views of the Israelis, because they believe that they are the chosen nation of Allah and His beloved. He granted them this land and therefore any plan that may limit their aspirations will be refused. Even if it is a plan refused by the Palestinians too. The attack on Gaza and the killing of children aims at failing the plan and any plan that may restrict their aspirations in the future.

Question Salam wa alaykom.
I've studied the Islamic groups in Palestine for some time now and have read all the major works regarding Hamas. What is the main difference between Hamas and Islamic Jihad? Is the main difference that Jihad is more pro-Shia? I find it difficult to understand why Hamas and IJ ally themselves with Shia. They are no doubt anti-Sunni and they border on kuffer. Secondly, can Hamas make the transition from being an opposition movement to a governing party in times of peace and stability? Can you equate your popularity during hard times, during stable times? Thridly, what madhab does Hamas adhere to? Are there any Salafi groups in Palestine?
Answer I can say that Hamas is a Sunni movement. It believes that the theological differences should be put a side, and to unite all in confronting aggression on the Islamic nation. Hamas deals with Muslim and Arab countries on equal bases.

Regarding the second question, there will be stability after the Palestinians obtain their legitamate rights, then Hamas will play its social and political role in the same efficiency as it practiced its military role. Hamas will sustain its popularity then.

As for the third question, Hamas considers itself a salafi movement, since it follows salafia. Hamas takes religion comprehensively. It never magnifies one side at the expense of the other.

Question As-Salamu Alaikum Dear Brother, I am a young American and I am so horrified with the photos and stories of the Palestinian lives destroyed by these Zionists. This is very agonizing for me to see. In your opinion, what can we outsiders do to help aid in ending this occupation?
Answer The Palestinian people under this Israeli Nazi aggression need the support of all the good people in the world. All kinds of support are needed; Spiritual, through Du'aa in prayer, media, through uncovering Israel's atrocities against the Palestinians, and financial.

Question Thank you sir for replying to my previous questions. I wonder though if you can elaborate on the conditions under which Hamas accepts peace with Israel? What kind of peace do you think is a just peace?
Answer When we talk about just peace it would mean that each side gets its full rights. If Israelis occupied Egypt and built an Israeli state in Egypt instead of Palestine, would there be any Egyptian recognizing the state of Israel and accepting to have peace with it, even if this state reached over 100 years in its establishement? The Israeli occupation of Palestine, the deportation of the Palestinians, and the establishment of the Israeli state on Palestinian soil after committing massacres agaist Palestinians, are all unjust.

Question Assalamu Alaikum Brother AbdulAziz,

Has the recent change in political power (given to Abu Mazen)affected the Palestinian population as a whole? Has it made things harder or easier?
Answer Every new event will affect Palestinians, but since this change was the result of the American pressure, the Palestinians remaind pro-resistance. The new government's popularity has been affected badly even before its birth.

There are some difficulties that face the reistance option, but in light of the support the resistance receives from the people, the changes lost their effect on the resistance. Until now nothing new has been sensed with regard to everyday life in Palestine.
