Does Islam allow that children murdered in Palestina will be “martyrs”? Can we considerate this to be like a real martyrdom?
Answer
Martyrdom operations are not new to Islam. The Islamic Umma during its history has practiced this kind of war since the Prophet's time, for example: One of Companions came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and asked him, "What can make God laugh?"
His answer was: "Kill you enemy directly with your hand, without any protection." The man took off all his armour, went into the battle, and did his best. That was the first martyrdom operation in Islam. We should add that it's up to the scholars not only to prove this kind of action but also to show its reward.
We don't find any difference between children and Adults.

After three years of post 9-11 security concerns and constant red-alert status, plus what's been happening in the Southeast Asia, what do you think of the US's latest stance towards groups like Jama'ah Islamiyya? What approach will they take next?

It is necessary to say that 3 years after 11 September, all was done by the US produced no positive results. Rather it has increased the hostilities against itself.
President Bush may not understand the perspective of facing all Muslim nations.
He also doesn’t realize that this war against terrorism has increase terrorism.
He has to know that Islamic movements and Islamic emotions can’t be tamed by weapons and force.
I think that the American president is in a critical position. He couldn’t overthrow al-Qaida in Afganistan. And in Iraq he has created a very hostile resistance even more than Saddam Hussein. The US is sinking in quicksand in Iraq. The Bush admin is hypocritical in preaching international values wile simultaneously vetoing the UN Security Council.

How can Islamic movements and the authorities in our countries find some gound for cooperation to devolop their countries and to spread Islam?
Answer
Honestly I think that the movement of the Muslim Brothers was the first who proposed this question, and tried to find a common ground to cooperate with governments and official authorities.
This process started with the kingship era in Egypt and continued with the era of Abdul Naser, Anwar Sadat and Husni Mubarak. This positive attitude has been faced by a campaign of detaining the symbolic men of Islamic movements. I believe that if these authorities had faced this positive proposition made by the Islamic movements, many other movements would not have risen in Egypt or any other country.
When the regime refuses to cooperate with the moderate movement who refuse violence, this will create more violence and extremism in the Islamic world. I think that what has happened in Algeria is not different from what has happened in other Islamic countries. We have a big question mark around what is happen in Algeria in the name of Islam. I think there are many local and international intelligent service who are the real actors.

We, as Muslims, are to blame ourselves for our plight. As moderates, we do not have a voice strong enough that could be heard. What are we doing to dispel the many misgivings and recent hatred against the Muslim ummah, especially in the West? We have come to be known as extremists, terrorists etc?

It is necessary to have two roles to communicate the real and true Islam with the West:
The first role towards the Western man is we need for him to give us his attention and start a sincere conversation with us and to be ready to change his attitude towards Islam if we give him the proof.
The second role is ours as Muslims and particularly as active Islamic people is to be ready to explain the real Islam to Western people. If we can't give da`wa on a national level then at least we can address western people responsibly and with solid proof.
It is necessary to make a cessfire between these two parties, to start a sincere process of conversation aiming at the wellfare of the West as well the wellfare of the Islamic world.
Since Islam is not for the Arab world or for Asia only, it is for all people on the earth when this is realizing western people will discover the unifying Truth of Islam inshah Allah.

Unity can only be achieved through the strict compliance with Islamic teachings. We cannot be based on sects or tribes. Before Islam came to the Arab nations the people were divided, when Muhammad PBUH lead mankind with the teachings of Islam, then we can see the strength and unity of Islam. The blame now should be on majority of the Islamic leaders - they are not follwing the true teachings of Islam. What is your comment?

The state of division that the Islamic world is suffering from has its background in the elimination of Khilafa and the creation of ethic and racist lines in the Umma.
So we get the Arabic nationalist or the Turkish nationalist and the Kurd, etc. Islamic legislation has been replaced by secular regimes.
The Zionists loved this. It is normal in this climate that the unity of the Islamic world doesn’t exist because its conditions don’t exist, plus most leaders are linked to spiteful forces that hate Islam, and that doesn’t want to see an Islamic state. They do their best to prevent the Unity and they do their best to divide us.
The most significant example is the military revolution against Rafah because this party tried to make an economic unity between the biggest Islamic states, among than, Malazia, Turky and others.
Unifying the Islamic world can’t be done by an emotional desire, we should start it founding an example made by a real Islamic state free from all international restraints.

Why are institutions such as the European Council for Fatwa and the Fiqh Council for North America being targetted by Western governments? What should these institutions do to promote better relations with the Western governments and ease the climate of fear?
Answer
As I know about Islamic institutes in the West, the European Council, or the American Islamic Council, or the institutes raised in European countries and the US, they are doing alot of effort to explain Islam to Western people.
I assisted many conferences in many European countries, Canada and the US, they are all aiming to explain Islam to western people as it truely is, that is by purifying it from all innovation made by extremists. They did their best in this arena.
I remember a conference made in France, and assisted by many French ministers, who were specialized in emigration, multicultural and religious issues.
I heard one of them saying in the end of the conference: "What we have heard has changed own opinion and opened between the Islamic migrants and us a big door to solve all problems arising between the government and Islamic migrants.” He also added that he will insist on us to represent more information about Islam.

I want to ask about the Islamic movements which are taking place after Sep.11. Before Sep.11, the movements had a tendency towards military action and using force as their means of communication with the West, from the Philipines to Indonesia to Pakistan and elsewhere. In your opinion, has that tendency increased after this so-called Campaign against "Terrorism", and do you agree with the philosophy of these groups which use force??

We responded to this question before. I want to reaffirm in this cadre that what came after 11 Sep. Like one made against Afghanistan and Iraq and the increase of the violence of the Zionist racist movement against Muslims in general has helped groups like al Qaida and has given life for many persons having the same characteristic of Osama bin Laden. And if this military campain will not be stopped and will not change its policy, the USA will suffer from many problems and will pay with its blood.

We hope that these events will push Islamic leaders to make more efforts to explain and make clear the principals of Islam.
Also to push Western people to look for information to discover the values and principals of Islam and to discover the civilization of Islam that once ruled half the earth.
I hope that they read what some Orientalists have written about this civilization especially "Gustave Lebon" and to see that Islam is maltreated by its followers and its enemy at the same time.

My question is what do you believe are the most important responsibilities and duties for muslims living in the West, with regards to helping the international islamic movement gain momentum and seeing it thrive? How can we lend to this movement in a positive way?
Answer
The role of Muslims living in Western countries is completely different from Islamic movements that face the challenge of American and British attacks. The Islamic movement in native countries can be excused because they faced this pressure to face force daily. But Muslims living in Western countries and some of them are considered as citizen, those people are not excused if they face good with evil. They have the responsibility to convince Western people that Islam is not a terrorist religion and Muslims are not terrorists but the pressure of the international organized terrorism, the terrorist of international systems and its clear bias in issues like in Palestine, Kashmir and Chechnya.

Talking about the palestianian people… I always see on TV that some groups of there, are teaching people (usually teenagers boys), how to be a “martyr” with a bomb, or if they using bombs and they die, Jana will be for their. I think that is an explotation, Do am I right?

It is an invalid saying to accuse Islamic movement that they mobilized teenagers to be human bombs in martyr operation.
Hamas has insisted on this affaire and has demanded from teenagers to not do such operation even it is prepared by any other movements. What we see now in Palestine like children attacking Israili army by stone, is a separate image completely different from training places where they select capable persons. as a proof we didn’t hear about any martyr operation prepared by Hamas or any Islamic movement made by teenagers or children.
I don’t know from where do you get this idea?
I hope if west make one steep toward rescuing millions children exploiting in sex affaire. It is an honor for child hood to die in the way of principals liberty and value and not because of Aids, drugs and organized crime.
