Question
Olmert now has to form a coalition government .. but is the disability to form a party government will hinder olmer's plan to put the perminant israeli borders ?

Answer
There is widespread support for Olmert’s agenda, not only within Kadima, but also in other parties, like labor, and other smaller parties. They all have a common denominator of defining the so-called final Israeli borders. So, Olmert can now go ahead and impose his unilateral solutions on the Palestinians, including annexation of large portions of the West Bank, the 5 large settlements blocks, settlements near East Jerusalem, continuation of the separation wall, and keeping the Jordan Valley so as to separate and emerging Palestinian entity. All of this is meant to break the will of the Palestinian national movement and kill any hope of any viable Palestinian state.

Question
For the first time we see the percentage of the Israeli voters percentage is very low in this turnout.. why?

Answer
63.2 percent of eligible Israelis voted in this election. About 10 percent are living outside the country like Europe and America. So if we were to take those percentages into consideration, about 72 percent participated in the voting process. I think that the turnout was good, maybe less than usual, but pretty good.
Another reason is that the Israelis are losing faith in the traditional parties. The are probably disappointed in the old policies, they are not convinced by the traditional campaigning promises and they chose to boycott the elections. Another reason is that the pensioners’ list won about 7 seats out of 100 seats in the Israeli parliament. All of these factors contributed to the lower than expected numbers.

Question
To what extent can the winning of olmert affect the peacmaking with the palestinians ?

Answer
Olmer in power will not affect positively on peacemaking with the Palestinians because the man has no plan or policy for making peace, his only plan is for grabbing more land, building more settlements and continuation of the separation wall. Withdrawing from occupied land since 1967 and removing settlements are preconditions for any possible peace with Israel, two conditions that have been ruled out by Olmert.

Question
Could you mention the Israeli trends towards the palestinian new government? and what do you expect from the Israeli settlers who the dismantling of sttlements in West bank will affect them directly ?

Answer
Israel policies in the area is based on rejecting Palestinian will. Palestinians freely and openly elected their parliament which lead to the new government, but Israel had rejected all previous Palestinian governments refusing to accept Arafat and even Abu Mazen as negotiating partners.

Removing settlements will free Palestinians from their occupiers and free Israelis’ from their hostile attitudes towards the Palestinians and the entire area. I believe it would be much better for them to go back and live in their cities and leave us alone.. It would simply be better for both of us.

Question
Assalamu Aleykum. What will the Palestinians do once Olmert sets Israeli borders? It is a shame that the US is backing everything Israel does. La3natullahi Alayhim. Jazaka Allahu Khaira.

Answer
Palestinians seek to achieve just and lasting peace through the withdrawal of Israel from the occupied territories since 1967, and the removal of Israeli settlements.

Palestinians oppose and resist settlements and Olmert’s plans. They are doing everything possible in that direction. They are hoping that the rest of the Arab world and the International community will impose sanctions on Israel until it submits to the will of the International community, the UN resolutions that pertain to Palestine, and all the International Laws and convention that pertain to occupation. Thus the Palestinians are continuing to resist Olmert’s plans and do hope that their local effort will one day meet international response to their efforts.

Question
In the recent time we have witness hamas victory despite all blackmails which have represent the correct wish and aspiration of the palestinians .
now that hamas is virtually in governance how best can they preserved thir dignity, remain fucus towards the the set goal of libration of the palestinias . despite the near unipolar policy of the isreal?

Answer
Hamas is an ideological movement, but it is also a pragmatic one. It represents Palestinian overall opinion. Hamas seeks to form a general strategy both locally and in cooperation with Arab and Islamic countries to force Israeli to end its occupation of Palestinian lands and elimination of settlements on their lands.

Hamas stated repeatedly that the will of the Palestinian people is not the problem, rather, occupation and settlements is the problem. Once Israel recognizes that fact, then and then only will Hamas move to offer a long term truce between the Palestinians and Israel.

Hamas has insisted that for any hope of peace to exist, the international community has to deal with the fact that the cause of the problem is occupation, not the Palestinian will. Once the International community start from that position, then and the only could there be any hope for peace.

Question
What are the coices of palestinians when olmert applyes his plan ?

Answer
The best option for the Palestinian people is to have a united policy and a long term strategy in the face of the Israeli aggression, a policy that will unite all Arab, Muslim and International community to force Israel to withdraw from Palestine.
