I am a second generation American of Pakistani parents. My parents and their parents served to make the reality of Pakistan. It is a shadow of the country that was ideologically concieved.
I cringe to see Pakistan move in a western direction. Where is the ummath in Pakistan or has Islam submitted to a twisted western world?
Answer
We very much believe that the second generation of Pakistani living in the US are concerned about their country and the affair of the Muslim Ummah. And they want Pakistan not to move towards the western direction as and the Pakistani people must strive for the betterment of their humanity and should be for the Islamic message.
We are in Pakistan preaching these ideas, we are working for the unity of Muslims and we are working that the Muslims should be the example of the Islamic personality and they should follow the teachings of Islam so that through their practical example they can show the good image of Islam.
There are different people moving towards different directions, some are moving towards Islam and the Islamic message and there are some other people who are working for the advancement of western values. These people are in every country and the struggle is continued and we hope that the righteousness will prevail.

Why Jamaat has not been able to produce leadership that can be parred at world level?
Q2. Why leadership in Jamaat sided with Marshal laws historically?
Answer
This is not the reality, as the leadership of the Jammat is at the expectations of the people of Pakistan and people of the world too. The prophet of Allah was an ideal, and there were prophets who were just followed by one or two believers. Even the most ideal person Muhammed (PBUH) the ideal and mercy of all the humanity was criticized and tortured by his people of Makkah.
So the claim that the Jammat-e-Islami has not produced an ideal leadership is just an absurd allegation as the groups folloers and leaders are so active in every political and economic aspect of Pakistan's life.

How come MMA has not achieved much in the North West Frontier Province government? If you can't perform at the provincial level how will you at the national level?
A good example is Islamic Finance. In the said province no innovative product has been introduced. Police is still corrupt. Nothing has improved.
Answer
in Pakistan a military dictator is controlling every thing, there is no provincial autonomy in Pakistan. The provincial government is not controlling the financial system, every thing is centralized.
The limited sphere in which the MMA government is performing making it strive very hard to do its best. This is the best performance till now of all the past governments.
the MMA government, especially in the fields of health and education, has developed the province so much. The five-year period of MMA government has witnessed development in the province compared to the fifty years of the past governments.
And this is in spite of the fact that Musharraf's government has been creating obstacles before our way.
The share of the NWFP government in the revenues has not been advanced, in the electricity sector, for example, just six out of the due twenty billion R are given annually.

As opposition, what's your next step after the supreme court legally approved Musharraf's bid to run for presidency in his military uniform? And what's your own assessment to the Supreme Court's view?
Answer
There were nine judges in the Supreme Court's bench, and three judges, out of these nine, said that Musharraf is not a valid candidate and that he cannot combine the presidency and the military uniform.
The other six judges said that this court cannot decide on this case and this case in not maintainable and this is a weak stance. These six judges avoided deciding on the case on merit and this is against the expectations of the people of Pakistan who are now very disappointed.
The lawyers community has protested against this judgment, and today there were demonstrations in front of the Election Commission and in front of the Supreme Court.
And there will be revived petitions that will be filed against this judgment. Also an appeal will be filed before the Supreme Court against the acceptance of the nomination papers of pervez Musharraf. So, our demand is still the full court.

Allah will make it easy for us to do so. We will struggle and continue our struggle, and we hope that people of Pakistan support us against Musharraf, as he is the most unpopular and corrupt ruler in the history of Pakistan.

Waht will you do if Musharraf were re-elected again on 6 October? Will the opposition take to streets until you achieve your goals or just you will accept the new reality?
Answer
The political struggle will continue and the majority of Pakistani people will not accept Musharraf again as the head of the state, even if he shed his military uniform.
On the October 6, there is going to be the presidential elections, but this is when the government of the provincial assembly of MMA be dissolve as a protest. And there will be a general strike throughout the country on this day. The opposition parties and activists will bring people to the streets of Pakistan in protest of Musharraf bid for presidency
Musharraf government will be in a very difficult situation in the coming month.

Who is going to replace Musharraf if he was downed? Will pakistan then see a political vacuum or what will be the scenario in your opinion?
Answer
There will be no vacuum, as the constitution of Pakistan is clear in this respect. Chairman of the Senate will be the interim president. There will also be an interim government, and the opposition and all the political parties will have to agree on the formation of a mutual election commission.
Fresh elections should be held, and the constitution will be restored to its original form. After the elections, a majority civilian government will take the office.
Any civilian elected government will be better than the corrupt and unpopular regime of Musharaf.

Being in politics all your life, why do you think it is so hard for someone to leave after he or she has ruled for a certain time? I mean, why is everyone killed, hanged or kicked out of the country? For exmple, the way Musharraf is clinging to his "seat" like a leach, does he face the same fate?

This is a human weakness, and Musharraf has not learned from the past dictators. And this is unfortunate that Musharraf is unable to read the writings on the walls throughout Pakistan to know the reality.

Do you really believe that so-called true democracy can really bring utmost needed harmony? capitalist democracy that west preaches? You being a leader of an Islamic party, dont you think a state on the rules and principle of Islamic state, whose foundation was laid down by Prophet Muhammad PBUH and eventually more matured by rightly guided four caliphs, is perhaps the true model state that we truly need here in Pakistan?

In our constitution, we have got a very important article which is known as "The Basic Objective Resolution". This is actually a mini-constitution, upon which all the constitution of Pakistan is based. According to this Resolution, the sovereignty belongs to Allah the Almighty.
And the representatives of the Pakistani people in the parliament have to totally adhere to the Quran and Sunnah. And this is the difference between the western democracy and the Islamic concept of Shura. (collective consultation to reach a majority- based resolution). The parliament of Pakistan is not sovereign in the same sense of the western ideology, but by the Islamic ideological principle, which is a constitutional body.
This is according to the Islamic teachings, but we know and every body knows that Pakistan is ruled by a class that is trained by the British colonialists who are not ready to implement the Islamic injunctions of the constitution of Pakistan.
So, it's our duty to educate our people and propagate our message so that honest and sincere people are elected by the people of Pakistan for the parliament. Our duty is also to convince our people to elect good and sincere Muslim representatives for the parliament.

Do you really seek the government to impose your islamic ideology on the all sects in the pakistani society?
Answer
Pakistan, according to the constitution, is an ideologically Islamic state. According to the Pakistani constitution, it's the duty of the government to educate and train all its Muslim population in line with the Islamic teachings. Non-Muslim minorities are also protected according to the Islamic ideology, as they have got equal rights just as all citizens of Pakistan.
The women are also extra protected under the Islamic ideology, and the human rights of all the Pakistani citizens are also protected, including the non-Muslim minorities who are protected by the constitution too.
