The Hikma is that we discovered the contradiction between what Bush and his administration are trying to plan and to do and the reality. As soon as the event of 9/11 happened, Mr Bush gave his version of the facts : it is an act of terrorism committed by Muslims led by Bin laden and gave his proofs ...But at the same time may other reactions were made, for example, a group of American pilots (200 military and civil pilots) published a text entitled "the enemy is inside the gates" in which they explained that such attacks cannot be carried unless by skilful military men and they described them as an act of treason and internal conspiracy, so they presented a contradictory version to that of Bush. Indeed this is not the first time that USA used treachery and lies. Highly ranked military men who thought that Kennedy's policy was too lax towards Cuba and to justify a war against Cuba engaged in such treachery. They wanted to convince Americans of the necessity of the war by carrying out some provocative actions against the general interest. So we are right to ask the question: who has taken advantage of the events of 9/11. First we point to the oil lobby, which want a war to dominate the oil around the Caspian Sea. The moment is very good. America is in crisis and it suffers from commercial deficit with the rest of the world. Since the Seattle conference, Globalization is not running the way the Americans want it to be, so to mobilize Americans, they had to convince them that they are threatened. The best way to produce proofs for such a thesis is to crash planes the way they did in events of 9/11 and accuse Arabs of doing it. And this was not difficult since the USA has the means to manipulate Arabs and Afghanis and to control planes through remote control. It was sufficient to them to find Arab corps in the surroundings of WTT to pretend that they are the executors of the attacks.

Je n'ai pas choisi ce titre, c'est les responsables du site qui me l'ont proposé. Mais dire que les Musulmans sont à la croisée des chemins, cela signifirait qu'ils ont le choix entre deux voies. Or après quatre sciècles de colonialisme et d'hégémonie américaine, tout se passe comme si, d'une part se rallier comme un vassal à la politique américaine ou bien pour défendre son identité, essayer de retrouver son passé antérieur à la colonisation. Ce sont deux impasses, imitation de l'occident ou imitation du passé. Ce qui importe aujjourd'hui c'est de ne pas assimiler modernisation avec occidentalisation

No, you should not follow globalization blindly since it is a new form of colonization. The only difference is that during the period of colonization, there were several colonizers France, Britain ...But nowadays it is only one colonizer USA. All others are now its vassals. On the other side, what they call Islamism or fundamentalism are those who are defending their identity but also want to return to the past. For instance, they say apply Sharia, we have in the Quran the best definition (surat 42/verse verse 13) God says " I give a way the same as I gave Nuh, Abraham, Moses and Jesus". When we compare the Quran with the Bible, the laws, morals and the principles are the same: only God commands, God ONLY knows. That is common to three Abrahamic religions. The application of these principles very from one epoch to another. Unfortunately, fundamentalists of every religion make confusion between universal principles and their different application to countries and epoch.

The "war against terrorism" is fast creating the nightmare scenario prophesised by Huntington. Unfortunately the Muslim reponse is only helping to reinforce Huntington's thesis. How can Muslims challenge the present "war on terrorism" without polarising the Ummah between "fundamentalists" and "modernists.

First of all, we have to remind readers that the word "terrorism" was the favorite word of Hitler. He called "terrorism" any kind of resistance to his dictatorship. It is exactly the same position as that of Bush. He called terrorists all those who oppose his plans of globalization. It is not a war of religions as pretended Huntington in his book who predicted opposition between Jews and Christians from one part to Muslims and Chinese from the other part. The main objective of American policy is to control all petrol resources and they call terrorists all those who oppose this colonialist and racist enterprise. The solution cannot be military, although we support the combat of our brothers in Palestine, but we have to attack the evil at his roots: the economical situation in Israel and USA is very bad because of this war; the commercial deficit is big in USA. USA cannot offer to lose its customers all over the world. So we have to boycott their products. Encourage the increasing of the price of petrol to prevent their tanks and planes from shelling Palestinians and bombing Iraq. More generally, we have to boycott the products of these two countries.

I don't agree with the thesis of Huntington: there is no war between civilizations but we have a new colonialist war, an economic war. We have to free ourselves from the economical domination of USA. It is the better way to fight.
I believe that nowadays, there must be an alliance between Europe and Arab muslim countries but European politicians are dominated by USA. In the charter of European Union, Europe is considered as a pillar of the NATO.

The exact title of my book is that "Islam lives in your future". It is not me that said Islam is the religion of the future but it Goethe who said " we will all finish by adopting a reasonable Islam" You have to look to the Quran in which we find that Islam is not a recent religion but the first one and the basic one since the creation of Adam. A practice of Islam, which is not literal or rigorist, and which means to submit to God is the common denominator for all humans. This is why I always promoted dialogue between religions and called each one to learn from the other. There is no other alternative: either dialogue or war.

Is there a chance that our mainstream thought will move from orthodox to some sort of reform? (Similar to Christians & Jews).
Although only a portion of all muslims reside in the middle east, my assumption has always been that the majority of 'scholars' do reside there.

I have read the article published by 200 pilots from USA army and civil society " the enemy is inside the gates" and I agree with their vision which is expressed also in your question: American administration has manipulated facts and people in the affair of 9/11 attacks to achieve hidden goals.
