Question Al Salam Alikum

Simply, what is the future? there are sounds coming saying this from the quran is too racist..etc and must be removed, , how far can we be manipulated in the hands of US
Answer I think that not enough has been done to explain Islam in the West and to deal with those passages in the Quran that some in the West find troubling. One easy way to do this, is to invite those who ask the questions to read the entire Quran and read the entire Torah and then see which is the bloodier scripture.

Question given the us/Saudi present relationship(strained beacuse of the Sept 11) will the
US seriously back crown prince abdulla peace proposal. if the proposal fails to gain any support, what will be the alternative.
Answer Yes the USA will support it and is already doing so. See my article on our website: aaiusa.org where I detail what I believe that Saudi Arabia must do to push the crown princes initiative forward.

Question What helpful tips our communities can take collectively and indidually to change american foreign policy in the Mid. East and combat the anti- arab anti-muslim bias in american society?
Answer To influence policy we need to do what we are doing now which is to empower our community through voting and political engagement because you will change opinion when you change the political equation. The same is true for changing images. It has always been fascinating to me that only the powerful have the opportunity to define themselves even if they choose to define themselves as weak victims. So we need to empower ourselves to define ourselves and not have others define us.

Question the US, after 9/11 have basicly allowed isreal to take any action it wants in the west bank. Can the US still be viewed as an honest broker in the peace process.
Answer I have always had difficulty seeing the USA as an honest broker. The biase in American policy is clear, never the less we must continue to push our government to do the right thing even with its biases because at the end of the day peace with justice is not only a Palestinian interest but an Israeli interest and American interest as well.

Incidentally, the bias is a function of domestic politics here in the US which makes it all the more necessary for us to empower ourselves to change that political equation.
