Palestine has been under occupation since more than 60 years , first was occupied by UK and France who established Israel . Till now Israel is getting extreme support from the UK , France , US to implement their plans . Israel became the victims the Palestinians became the criminals. Most of the western governments deal with other under this concept or idea .The idea that Israel is right and they are the victims and Palestinians are the terrorist from the very first day . Some Arab governments also support Israel more than Palestine . Jews have been migrating from all the world to get home and Palestinians land have been taken over.
My question is: why are the Palestinians worried about being called Terrorists, and worried from the media , why don't they fight and get their freedom, why don't they buy weapons to defend themselves; it is their natural right. Nobody will help them and understand their problems. If this happens in UK, the British people will then understand the problem. The media will not help you because most of them are influenced by Israel supporters. Peace negotiation will end with loss to The Palestinians. I think most of the countries got the freedom except Palestine.

As enshrined in all international laws and norms, the people whose country is occupied has the right to struggle for freedom and self determination. They also have the right to rally the international support for their struggle. This applies to the Palestinian people who have succeeded throughout decades in struggling against the Israeli occupation and with their struggle they have gained the sympathy of Arab and Muslim street as well as other world countries and civil societies worldwide.
The problem which the Palestinian people counter now is that the world super powers have their own policies and interests which why they provide Israel with material and political and military support, in spite of laws and resolutions by the UN and other international organizations condemning Israel and calling on it to respect the rights of the Palestinian people.

I wish I can be part of the movement but since I'm a Syrian citizen, I may not go to Palestine. What I'm doing is spreading info about the ISM however I can... What else can I do to be part of this extraordinary movement?

I salute your kind feelings toward the Palestinian people. In general, any Arab citizen can stand by the Palestinian people through following up of the agonies which the Palestinian people undergo. He/ she can stage a campaign to express his/her position by posting international human rights organizations and doing activities in society where he or she lives through the local watchdogs in each state. Any aid can be considered as support of terrorism only if it is a financial or military one, but the legal assistance and the human rights and solidarity- related aid cannot be considered as backing of terrorism at all. For example, why don’t people post signatures in solidarity of the Palestinian people and forwarding these signatures with protest messages sent to international establishments and particularly to the UN Secretary General and the International Commission for Human Rights.

Do you think there is a realistic chance the current Palestinian government will survive the current situation and be voted as the government again next year? Secondly, how would you assess Britain's apathy towards Palestine, do you think Britain is turning away from its pro-Israel stance. 3- Why do not financially well-off governments such as Saudi Arabia and UAR give much funds to help the Palestinian people, especially when you take into account that Iran which is not a well-off country has given more than 50 million dollars.

If the Palestinian democratically elected government is protected from the international intrigues woven against it by Israel and the US, it will succeed in its mission especially that it embraces a large number of scientifically efficient figures who are experts on different aspects of statehood. Here the problem doesn’t lie in provision of aid, but the problem is how to send this aid to the Palestinian people now that Israel takes control of all crossing borders and threatens the banks which deal with this elected government.
In particular, many Arab and Muslim states as well as European ones have offered hefty sums of money to the Palestinian people but the problem lies in lack of ways and means to send these funds amid the blockade imposed by Israel.
It is the British government which should be held responsible for the sufferings in which the Palestinian people have come under throughout its history. It is Britain which paved the way for occupation by issuing the Balfour Declaration coupled with the then British government collaboration with the Jewish gangs which ushered for the establishment of Israel. So it is her duty now to stand by the Palestinian people until they have obtained their legitimate rights, and not to follow the US double standard policy.

I just want to say that what happened and has been happening in Palestine is absolutely unfair. Unfairness is the best word to describe the on-going onslaught towards the Palestinians.
What else would we expect from the world or people of the world if injustice still prevail???

Welcome dear brother,
Unfortunately, there are a lot of unjust ethics and unfair measures prevailing the world of today with the US now the only power dominating almost everywhere in this world. If what had happened in Beit Hanun had happened elsewhere in any country, the world super powers would have taken a totally different stance. Just take what is happening now from the international community to the Sudanese government concerning the Darfur crisis as one example, despite the fact that the crimes claimed to be happening in Darfur cannot be compared to those happening with the Palestinians or those of Beit Hanun.
What should have been done is for the pressures to be practiced against the Israelis to stop such crimes, but the world is seemingly not really keen on doing that. If the world had moved as it moved with the last Lebanese crisis, the situation could have been much more different.
Some are claiming that Israel is defending itself and trying to stop the rockets fired form Gaza strip, but I stress the fact that Israel is carrying out its aggressive policies according to its own predetermined agenda. Truly it is Israel that practice the policy of using the Palestinians as human shields and not the other way around.

If the people want to seek a decent life and want to exercise democracy, this will not come to them on a gold plate, as rights are not awarded but extracted by force, so the Arab peoples have to struggle and sacrifice to attain their rights. The legal experts and lawyers and human rights establishments have to establish the society of freedom, democracy and human rights.

The international community should step in to stop the Israeli aggression, and these brutalities have nothing to do with the kidnapped soldier, since Israel's aggression on Gaza and the West Bank doesn’t stop since 2002 with thousands of dead and injured being fallen and thousands others being detained.
As for the options we have, I call for an international, rather than a Palestinian conference for finding a solution to the Palestinian problem, since the Palestinian government and presidency are not able to provide protection to the Palestinian people. So we call for an international conference to protect the Palestinian people from Israel's bombardments which are dropped under the nose of the entire world without any power intervening to stop this aggression. The UN Security Council should convene the world super powers for a meeting to call on Israel to withdraw and stop its aggression.
This cannot materialize except through Arab and Islamic pressures on these super powers. But unfortunately, we haven’t heard any statement from any Arab or Muslim ruler to condemn these massacres or convene for an Arab urgent meeting either by the Arab foreign ministers or the Arab League.
We have not heard any figures representing Arab states to seek a course of actions toward the Israeli onslaught on Gaza Strip and the West Bank to end the occupation, the core of the daily problems of the Palestinian people. It is not possible to solve any social , economic or political problem in presence of the Israeli occupation.

The Arab and Muslim peoples in the region as well as the civil society establishments, the human rights organizations and parties and syndicates know well that the US is the enemy No.1, and that it is not interested in these peoples' interest, but rather it only sees to its own interest and how to maintain its hegemony in the region.
The peoples also proved through ballot boxes in the election in the region that they are against the US options in the region. So I say that it is of the interest of the US to leave the peoples to decide their own self determination without interference or occupation or armies or weapons as is the case with Afghanistan and Iraq. The peoples are able to attain what they want sooner or later.

The big problem that faces the world today is that the US is alone the only super power in the world at present. And Unfortunately, the US is unfairly forcing its will by the power of its weapons of mass destruction without deterrence form any other country.
This US policy is forcing a lot of other countries to adopt its points of view and stop against some oppressed countries like Palestine.
How does it come that the US is supporting the Iraqi and Lebanese elected governments while rejecting to recognize the Palestinian elected government, it's a clear contradiction. Is it the kind of democracy Bush is always talking about? Or is it the freedom he is calling for? No, it's obviously the oppressive policy the US is using to predominate peoples of the world.

What is needed now is backing the Palestinian people by following up the Palestinian cause and mass media, as well as extending aid through the establishments concerned with the cause in many forms and ways. For example, the area of human rights is very vast and any one concerned can be an activist in this field through getting in touch with the human rights releases and attending the workshops and debates and conferences held by human rights organizations.
There are human rights establishments which allow for membership within their bodies and I myself , through this site, call for establishing an active Arab Muslim organization embracing Arab and Muslim states and to have the same power as the Amnesty International. We in the Solidarity International For Human Rights offer assistance through announcing our rejection and condemnation of the Israeli violations and exposing these brutalities, as well as legal assistance which we offer in these cases.
The Head Office is in the US and the most active branch is in Palestine. We cover the incidents of the Israeli brutalities and violations such as extrajudicial killings. We also cover the issues of the Palestinian refugees and the prisoners and their agonies and torture they come under, as well as violations against reporters including denying them access to war ravaged areas; we also cover the issues of confiscating lands and building settlements.

Why do our Muslim governments not wake up from their sleep. Massacre of helpless Palestinians has become an everyday affair, right under the nose of our so called Muslim nations. but nobody dares to rise up against Israel and US. How long can smaller groups like Hizbullah and unorganized, unarmed Palestinians fight the Zionists? Will the Muslim countries ever wakeup? There is a Hadith, where prophet Mohammed (SAW) said a time will come when Jews will hide behind stones, the stones will shout and point out that Jews are hiding behind them. What I believe is that the cries of Palestinians, destruction of their homes, and the everyday aggression by Israel is the same cry but unfortunately we cannot hear their cries. We have become deaf to hear their cries and rush to their help.

The Arab states offer aid to the Palestinian people, but as said of late, the problem does not lie in the aid but in the ways and means to send the aid to the people amid the blockade imposed by the occupation forces. The problem also is not in funds but how to send them to the people while, at the international level, the US exert pressures on the Arab states and banks and Arab and international establishments, even the funds provided for the poor and the orphans and the sick and injured are monitored and even sometimes confiscated . As the local level, the Israeli authorities clamp a blockade on the Palestinian people by both denying aid access to the Palestinian lands or standing in the way of distributing them to the people. Even between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, there is a problem in circulating these aid materials or funds although the agreements between the Israeli government and the Palestinian authority provide that the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are one geographical unit and that Israel should observe the integrity of this area.
I also call for the Arab states to extend aid to the prisoners in the Israeli jails and step it up to help them released and putting an end to their and their families' sufferings due to imprisonment.
No one can stand in the face of Israel as the world's only superpower as well as some European states back it . The problem also these days is that the right must have a power to protect it, but unfortunately, although it is the right of the Palestinians to obtain their land and independence, the force is with Israel. It is the people who must resist, even Hamas and Hizbullah are at the vanguard of this resistance.
