Question
Alsalamu alaykum, jazak Allahu khayran for your jihad on the kuffar! I have been reading on some things about "Mitochondria Eve, and Y chromosome Adam". What's interesting is how the scientists noticed that the "Adam (rather Noah)" is, according to them 85,000 years younger. Could you please elaborate a bit more on this? Also, are scientists doing any research today with genes and DNA, which would utterly ruin their false theory even in their minds?
Answer
Thank you for your support. Mitochondrial Eve is now a refuted theory, because it is discovered that mitochondria might pass from males too. This was not a theory in favor of the true Adam and Eve account. And it is refuted now.

Assalaamu Alaykum Waraxmattullaahi Wabarakaat.
I pray Allah to reward you the great work that you are doing for his sake.
My question is, your books are mostly scientific and not accessible to the common man on the street. Could make your books easier in terms of terminology and understanding?
Thank you.
Answer
I have several books on evolution; some technical, some more for the layman. Read 'Evolution Deceit' as a beginning. The web site (www.harunyahya.com) will help you in choosing the level of reading.

Question
assalamu alaikum Sir,
I would just like you to briefly clarify as why do you support that everything is being created and why not believing in Evolutionism.I am asking this on behalf of some people who believe in Evolutionism and give their own reasons to it.
Answer
Well, there are plenty of reasons. One is that there is a great deal of design in nature that can not be explained as the result of blind forces of nature, as the Darwinians claim. The other one is that animals and plants appear very abruptly in the fossil record without ancestors. In the Cambrian period, all known groups appear suddenly.

Assalamualaykum Brother.
Can you also elaborate on the subject of "survival of the fittest" as part of the natural selection of the Darwinian Theory vs Faith(taqdir)
Answer
Survival of the fittest is a theory which is half true. There is struggle in nature, but also there is cooperation. Darwin just saw the struggle and he extrapolated it to whole nature, and even to human societies. That was his mistake.

Question
Are you targetting the up and coming muslim scientists with regards to evolution so that they are thinking Qur'anically in their approach to science?
By this method, a steady stream of expert muslim scientists could join the effort.
Answer
Yes of course. The issue is not just evolution, but a re-understanding of science. Science has been placed on a wrong paradigm ih the last two centuries: Materialism. We have to save science from this dogma. And Muslim scientists have a great mission in this task. I am looking forward to cooperating with all Muslim scientists who are trying to serve faith.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,I would like to personally thank Mr.Harun Yahya for his wonderful islamic media products which are very effective. I personally used them alot.
My question is "suppose that the Evoluting part of Darwin's theory turns out to be right, meaning that The animals ( the non-humans in this case )have evolved into different creatures through time. How can this undermine the existance of a creator in this world, some force had to initially create them and then nourish them and provide the necessary the evironment to grow. Evolution cannot deny the existance of a creator using this theory, can it?
Answer
No scientific discovery can undermine the existence of the Creator. It is He that created nature, and the more we study nature, the more we see His existence.
If there had been some kind of evolution, it had happened by God's will. And there is some kind of limited evolution; i.e. variation in a species. But the overall evidence shows that different life forms appeared abruptly without any link.

Question
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
How can the courses taught at the educational institutes(schools/colleges/universities) in the muslim world be modified, since they are totally affiliated to the teachings of western world? i mean in the subject science, we are still taught about evolutionism and the laws of evolutionism as taught by Darwin. We are taught the achievements of Newton and Einstien but are not even aware of the names of Muslim scientists! Similarly no mention of muslim's achievements in other fields. We grow up learning and praising the west thinking that they were the originators of the great modern world! and thus tend to follow them.
It is a matter of great concern. Can anything be done to bring this issue in the eyes of our(muslim world) education ministries?
wasalam.
Answer
Well there is some good news coming from the West. The new theory callled Intelligent Design confronts Darwinism very powerfully and it is getting stronger everyday.
We are not alone in this intellectual battle; other belivers in God, Christian or Jewish, also oppose materialism. I believe that Darwinism will not survive very long in the Western intellectual circles.
Reminding people about the glorious past of Islamic civilization is of course important. But the more important thing is to build a new Muslim civilization today. Our past will give us motivation. But what will give us success is first Allah's blessing and then our sincerity and determination to transform today's world.

Question
Dear Sir,
Could you please enlighten us on the issue of what predates God?
As I understand it, Evolutionists say we sprung up from matter (basically) left over from the big bang [and I know I am probably simplifying that by a whole lot, but bear with me here]. So, the question is what thing initiated that big bang.. what entity rather, to be more precise? And why was that matter all rolled up into a big ball just waiting to have something or someone cause it to burst?
Am I making any sense here? I know that man should not question his Lord and I personally am just content in the fact that the Quran speaks the Truth and Allah is the only God. But I am often asked such questions by my younger cousin and what not.
I guess what I'm wondering and asking you here is, why is man so preoccupied with what came before what; why can't we just appreciate what IS!?
Thank you for your time and effot. May Allah reward you.
Answer
The question is who initiated the Big Bang and who designed the overall structure of the universe and life since then. I address the Big Bang question in my book "The Creation of the Universe" (www.harunyahya.com/create01.php).
The balance and harmony of the universe is also a crucial topic showing us Divine design.
To ask about these matters is not to question our Lord, but to try to see the evidence for His existence. This is necessary, because the Qur'an asks Muslims to investigate and ponder on heavens and earth and their creation.
What came before what is important; because one way to know God is to think about the origin of material things. To only appreciate what IS might lead us to superficial thinking.

Question
Assalamulaikum,
There has always been a question on my mind: why has Allah created us? And when He knows that He is going to send satan to hell, why create him in the first place? Why create us when He knows future, whats going to happen to us etc etc.
Answer
In the Qur'an, God tells us that He created us so that we might be his servants. One meaning is that He created humans so that humans, as intelligent and free beings, might appreciate His majesty and His mercy. He created evil too, because goodness is understood when it is compared with evil. The devil exists to differrentiate between people who will follow his way and the people who will follow God's way. The fact that Allah knows the future does not mean that we do not have free will. We have.

i read Harun yahya books.. and watch his film..
i like it... it's very nice ..
but i find some body in internet said some thins about him !! they said me "dont hear to his work?" becuse he has worng Akeeda " Wehdat alwjood"
they said he said wrong at 19,20 chapters at his book "evoliation"
i wont to know what its akeeda "wehdat alwjood"?
and we can use his material or not?
slam alikom
Answer
It is a misunderstanding about my argument on the nature of the material world. I do not defend Wahdat-i Vujud. That is a philosohopy that denies that the created world does not exist. What I said is this: The created world exists, but we can experience it only as perceptions. This is refutation against materialism and it is important for that reason.
Some Muslim brothers have thought that this is similar to Wahdat-i Vujud. Well it is not. But their criticism helped me to rephrase some parts which could have been confusing. Send my salaams to that brother and please tell him that I am an Ehli Sunnah Muslim.

Question
Selamalaykum Brother Harun Yahya.
I have read your book "matter of illusion". Do you belive that this life is an illusion?
Answer
I believe that what we experience is the sum of perceptions and those perceptions are being created by Allah. It will be an illusion for the materialist, since he thinks that matter is the only absolute reality. For the believer, life is what God has decided and created. My argument is just an explanation of this fact.

Question
Assalamalaikum,
Respected scholar,
I want to ask , is this Evolution theory an Zionist Idea to drive the people away from the CREATOR? Jazaka Allah Khair
Answer
I am not sure about its link with Zionism. Zionism is the Jewish ideal to establish a state in Palestine or even in its surroundings. Secular Jews are supporting Darwinism since they are secular. And many religious Jews are against this theory. There are some Israeli scholars who have books against Darwinism. Lee Spetner for example. We are on the same side with religious Jews on this issue.
But their political support for Israel is not something that we can agree with, of course.

Question
Selam alejkum mr.Yahya,
before questions I just want to express my deepest respect to your work,
What's your opinion about current situation regarding "knowledge islamization proces" in the world?
Do you think there is a failure in providing system solutions in islamic world nowadays? If so, what are the main obstacles?
Where does Turkey stand in that perspective?
Answer
I think the Islamic world is moving towards a much better future. The intellectual awakening among Muslims is very promising. The Islamization of knowledge is still yet a task to see completed, but there are good developments. One point we must note is that we can use the achievements of Christians as well in this process.
Islamization of knowledge is necessary to cleanse knowledge from the materialist paradigm and to put it into a Theistic framework. Many Christians are doing the same thing today. And since they have access to all the sources of the Western culture, they are producing good materials. The Intelligent Design movement is particularily important. They are building a new biology based on the paradigm of design, i.e. a biology that accepts Divine intervention into nature. We must be open minded and use the materials produced by all Theists, and even all non-materialist minds.

Question
assalamualaykum brother,
my question is regarding the dinosaurs.i am doing a short presentation in college and started wondering.... what is the islamic stance on these animals, since there is no mention of them in the Quraan. do muslims believe in these creatures. jazakallah khayr and may Allah (swt) reward you for your efforts.
Answer
The dinosaurs existed and we know this from the fossil remains. We should not think that they should have been mentioned in the Qur'an. The Qur'an is not a book to mention all things, it is a book to guide humans. The Qur'an gives us the principles that we should follow, it doesn't give all details. There are millions of species living or had lived in nature. This is not something that contradicts the Qur'an.

Question
Dear Sir,
Your works are marvellous!
What is your comment on the statements that say most of us are only using only a small percent of our brain, and do not even reach 20% of it? Is it the reason why most of the people of the world are not Muslims? And how is positive thinking related to the subject of the reality of matter? Thank you. Hope to meet you someday!
Answer
I don't think that there might be a corelation between brain percentage usage and being Muslim. Because being Muslim is first of all a matter of conscience. Every normal person has the capacity to realize the existence of God. One needs conscience to follow the consequences of this realization.

Question
Dear Sir,
You mentioned that "the created world exists, but we can experience it only as perceptions". Is it possible for us to create our own perceptions?
Answer
That might be possible when people see hallucinations. But that is something extraordinary. In normal conditions we experience what comes to the sensory centers of our brain. And we can never reach the outer world beyond our brain.
Editor's note:
For more information on this particular topic, please refer to Harun Yahya's articles on IslamOnline.net:
I had the opportunity to go over 5 of your books before they were published by attique publishers in Toronto.
My suggestion is that when you make the documnetaries, at the same time create a master copy for broadcast purposes. This way, those who would like to have it broacast on the TV will have a good footage. As in the past, you can always send me the master and I can make it available to anyone interested in North America.
Answer
Thank you very much brother for this advice. I dont know much about these technical details. But I will tell it to our brothers who are dealing with the documentaries. I only check the texts of the documentary films.

Question
Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh dearest brother and scholar of Islam!
It is with great pleasure that I say may Allah keep you strong in your work and da'wah. Scholars of true worth are hard to come by and may Allah protect you Insha Allah.
Perished nations had me spellbound. Mainly because of the simple way in which these incidents were related by yourself and also because of the modern scientific facts you used.
I am currently reading Musa (AS) in the Qur'an and again your deeper insight into the lessons to learn are an eye opener.
1)What would you recommend for someone who wants to learn more about comparative religion?
2) WHat are your views on a "clash of civilisations" & the re-establishment or non establishment of an Islamic State?
Jazakallaahu Khairun for your time and May Allah guide you to continue the good work.
Answer
Thank you brother for your encouraging remarks. For comparative religion, I can't suggest any title right now, but reading the Scriptures of all religions will be the best starting point, I guess. I don't approve of the clash of civilizations scenario. Islam aims to bring peace and reconciliation, not clash and war. Besides, we have some commonalities with the Western civilizations:
Their Judeo-Christian heritage, the morality it carries is in many ways similar to Islam.
On state: I think the foremost duty of Muslims is to establish Islam in their hearts, morality and intellectual life. If a society is led by such people, its politics will be positively influenced too. But in my view, politics is not a priority. A Muslim can live peacefully under a non-Muslim governmet, if it has a just, tolerant and decent regime.
Sir my question is that, do renowned scientist of europe and america still beleive in the theory of evolution.
Answer
Many of them do. But this is a result of their attachment to the ruling paradigm and the intellectual dictatorship that is built for the sake of Darwinism. In science, new paradigms (models) are generaly fiercly rejected and ridiculed in the beginning. But then they rapidly become the ruling model. This will happen in the West in the upcoming decades.
There are good developments promising this. The Intellectual Design theory that I mentioned is gaining power. 20 years ago, criticism against Darwinism was very weak and out of the mainline science. Today it is becoming stronger and stronger.

Assalamualaikum,

every one is busy in hypocrucy who is talks more of the islam and how deeply. My qes. is that after the 22 yrs of total devotion, worship, hardworking has been washed and i am on the road which goes nowhere.Because in front of me the men used their power to crush others, making money influence, are believed and respected, the women tottally hypocrates, talking of salat, hijab, shirk, etc etc and actually used their beuty to attract others and came forward on the ladder putting on others back, tottally failed my concept of being good, wise, khowledgeable, softspoken, means value based really concentrating on iman, is failed i lost even the strength of survival,is this not evolution, the best can survive even if he has everything wrong and the good vanishes bcz, he cant cross its limit of doing wrong can u pl. explain,i am on the twoway which way to choose the old that shaken even my existance or to be like them?
Answer
Dear Sister, please do not get desperate because of the wrong people that you have faced. Allah tells us in the Quran that there will be hypocrites who say that they serve Islam but in fact serve their interests. I don't know the people you talk about and can't say anything against them. But if they are such people, say to them what Moses did to the corrupt Israelites: "Though you and all who are in the earth prove thankless, look! Allah verily is Absolute, Owner of Praise. " (14:8)
Here is another verse from the Holy Quran:
"Therefore be patient; surely the promise of Allah is true and let not those who have no certainty shake your firmness.(30:60)"
In fact, if you are sincere among undecent people, that your reward will be greater in the sight of Allah, it is hoped.
Believe in and trust Allah. Pray to Him. Be patient. He will show you the way and give you the power to walk it.

Question
Salam-o-alaikum Sir
I want to ask if darwin connects humans are derived from things like ( monkey, chips or else), what i want to ask is that is there any mention in quran that some non obediant group of people were converted into monkeys as AZAAB was upon them. so this why darwin thinks we were similar or can you please clear me on this
Answer
Alaikum salam brother Imran. Yes Darwinism argues that man descended from some kind of ape. And there is a verse in the Holy Qur'an telling that a group of Jews have been converted into apes and pigs. But there is no relation between these two. The Quran tells about a specific event, a miracle that relates a group of people that lived in the past.
But Darwinism argues that all humans, not as the result of a miracle but as the result of a natural process, descended from apes. These are compeletly unrelated issues. Plus, the conversion of those Jews into apes and pigs might have a symbolic meaning too.

Question
Respected Scholar,
I am a student of biology. As you may know, evolution is being thought as a dogma in universities.
When I read your book "Darwinism Refuted", I was astonished to see how Darwinists misrepresented the evidence as if it supported their theory. I was very angry. However, I couldn't speak out, because the lecturers don't let us speak against evolution in class. My question is, what can university students like me do against Darwinism? Most importantly, is there a platform that could help us increase our knowledge as well as argumentation skills in order to be ready to enter discussions with evolutionists?
I am considering forming an online discussion list to unite and activate Muslim brothers and sisters who feel same as me. Do you think this is a good idea? Perhaps we can invite Muslim scholars to join and in a few years we can grow into an effective web site that publishes member-contribution-articles, against Darwinism and Materialism.
Thank you very much for all your work and Jazaka Allah Khair
Answer
Thank you brother your effort. Yes, I thint that it is a wonderful idea. I would be very pleased and thankful to God to see Muslims in this effort.
Assalamu Alaikum. I admire the work you are doing and I think the piece you wrote on "The fall of atheism" is brilliant, mashallah. Could you tell us about how you got interested to start writing these books from, and where you get the material from? Mashallah the knowledge you posess on the sciences is a wonderful weapon to fight ignorance. May Allah guide to produce more works on the Path of Allah.
Answer
I started to make research on this subject in the early 80s. I was a university student and my university was full of atheists. I thought that I could not help them see the light of Islam unless they are freed from the dogmas of atheism and materialism. That is how it started. Since then, by the grace of Allah, there has been a great awaking in the Western world as well against atheism.
I am continuing to make research in this field and also using the material produced by other scientists believing in God. You can find more information in the web site: www.harunyahya.com.
I am a student and want to be a genetic scienctist wld. like to know that i have read somewhere that about 300 billion things are toghather to make humanlife possible on earth, so is cant be coincident, and there are 30 millions species of insect exist our earth is it not coincident, and if there is evolution than from 2oo yrs of scientific age, there is no link, or example of turning somthing into other likeseahorse into horse and if the evolution is there why the monkeys are living? why the half monekyman is not found?Pl.bear with me if they are of primitive type of qwes.thank u,
allah hafiz.
Answer
Allah hafiz, brother. Thank you for your comments. Yes you are right, the complexity of all the different life forms in nature defies Darwinism. And there are no transitional forms that link different species to each other. All distinct groups of plants and animals suddenly appear in the fossil record, fully formed and very different from pre-existing forms. Humans also appear suddenly in the fossil record. The first known humans are Homo erectus people and they dont have any ape-like ancestors behind them. There is a big gap between Homo erectus and their alleged ancestors, Australopithecus. Question
Assalamu Alaikum.
I really appreciate your works. This has been a great need of time. I specially like how strickly you stick to the Qur'an in your analysis.
I remember once one of my antomy professor at Dhaka Medical College after describing some facts of embryology stated that 'Ontogeny repeats Phylogeny'. That is to say, human embryo shows different stratas of life (from fish to monkeys) in its stages of development . Then seeing that I have traces of beard in my face, he asked me, "Doesn't it prove that evolution is a fact?" I hadn't read your works then, but his suggestion didn't seem convincing to me even on that instant and I replied, so what if we have similar stages as fish or a frog in our embryo. How does it relate to evolution of human beings? To my astonishment, the professor couldn't answer my question. He just said, "Read more, and you will see."
I would be happy if you shed some light on this subject.
Also I feel that people in Bangladesh and many other developing Muslim countries are in great need to study the works of yours in order to up to date their thinking patterns. I know you are very positive and open in distributing your works. Can you shed some light on this regard?
Thank you.
Answer
Brother, thank you very much for this question. You helped me to display how ignorant the evolutionists are. The 'evidence' your professor speaks about is in fact one of the great scandals in biology. A Darwinian scientist named Haeckel put forward that theory, "Ontogeny repeats Phylogeny'. He made embryo drawings showing that this is true. However, later it was discovered that these drawings are in fact fakes!! Haeckel distorted the pictures. The real pictures taken by microcameras revealed the trick. Please read more on this at this link and show it to that professor too: http://www.harunyahya.com/refuted11.php.

What do you think the best action students can do in the west to help defeat the idea to evolution. As a student I encounter many contradictions the theory of evolution has and have an urge to present the idea to my professors. So what is a better way?
Answer
Thank you brother for your determination to serve God. It will be a good idea to challenge your professors and ask them to address the problems of their theory, like the origin of life, the origin of the phyla (Cambrian explosion), the irreducible complexity of biochemical systems, etc. You can also work on the internet to spread the awareness on this issue among Muslims and also among other people as well. Question
Why nobody thinks of the possibility that humans became apes and not apes humans... that is, it gave no evolution, but degradation ... this variant also just as well the similarity between the Humans and the apes.
Answer
There have been some evolutionists who argued that. It is not a common theory however. The basic reason is that apes appear much earlier than humans in the fossil record. Plus, they have a faith in evolution as an up-going process. It is a dogmatic faith, however.
