Question As-Salamu'alaikum Dear Sheikh,

How can I respond to those who say that Al-Israa & Miraj never took place and that it's not logical to believe that all these events took place in such a short period of time?

Jazaka Allahu Khairan
Answer Wa'alaikum As-Salamu Warhmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

People who deny the Night Journey and the Ascension of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are those who are enslaved by their narrow and materialistic views.
These miraculous events are recorded in the the text of the Holy Qur'an and the Hadeeth of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and these are the most authentic historical documents Humans have today.

From a logical point of view, the Creator of time and space is able to reduce time and space as He wants.

Question Salam.

1. What lessons from the Night Journey can we take regarding the current occupation of Al-Quds?

2. How can we make sure Palestinian Jerusalem thrive in the Holy City and stay there, and make sure no harm comes to Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds Islamic identity?

regards

Answer Wa'alaikum As-Salam SIs. Muslima,

The night Journey was an extraordinary event in the history of humankind. The implications of this event go far beyond any temporary political phenomenon. However, the centrality of Jerusalem for the monotheistic tradition is one of these implications. One of the lessons of these miraculous event today is reminding all believers in God of their responsibility towards Jerusalem-- the city of peace that is under occupation today. All Muslims and Christians around the world need to stand up to save the city of peace from the Zionist occupation, and to free the Jerusalem from the Zionist racism and persecution.
