All Praise is due to Allah and we ask Allah to send his peace and blessings on his Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
WAMY is an International Organizational. It is founded in 1972. It deals with youth and youth education, discipline, and training according to Islamic standards. WAMY is the first international Islamic organization. Now it impacts more than 400 Islamic youth organizations in the 5 continents. Basically, we are trying to save the true Islamic ideology based on Tawheed (the oneness of Allah) and we are trying to consolidate the unity and solidify it among the Muslim youth. We always try to support and assist youth organizations in their activities and help them carry out their projects. We have an annual international conference, were the youth leaders come from all over the world to attend this conference. Last year it was held in Oman Jordan and. We have more than 24 branches all over the world and there are 12 international branches in countries like the U.S., Nigeria etc. In the countries we do not have branches, we have representatives in these countries that coordinate our activities. We have published tens of books in all Islamic areas. We have distributed thousands of books worldwide. Last we have distributed more than one hundred and fifty six thousand books world wide free of charge. We sponsored several camps in the U.S. and Canada. We also supported TV programs in local TV stations. We have produced more than 14 TV programs that were broadcasted locally. WAMY is a member in the United Nations as a non-profit non-government organization. We have participated in their meetings where we were introduced to other non profit organizations and we presented Islam and many Islamic Controversial issues like women rights, human rights, gender equity, etc.

Please tell us how you see the future of spreading of Islam in the west
and especially in the USA.
Answer
First of all, Islam is definitely spreading not just in the USA, but also all over the world. Thousand per month enter Islam, majority are more women than men; more African American than all other races combined. When they are asked why they accepted Islam they would all say that Allah guided me. With our website effort we are now brining over thirty-to-fifty new shahadah (Converts) every month (islamtoday.com).

What can the Muslim youth do in the United States, so that they can stay out of trouble?
Answer
This is a great and appropriate question and very timely because if we do not do not do something we are going to loose our youth. The Y in WAMY stands for Youth. We have a number of programs under design and several that we have already implemented in a number of States geared to brining the families together in the mosque and a second project we have is developing a learning program on the Internet (islamtoday.com/kids) which is ”under construction”. How do you think the efforts of muslim youth for spreading islam in comparison to christians youth spreading their religion?
Answer
This is a good question but not an easy one to answer. Look at the number of Muslim youth compared to the number of non-Muslim youth. If you compare them you will see that our boys and girls are doing a very good job. Probably the question should have been more along the lines of comparing the efforts of the Muslim youth calling to Islam to the efforts of Shaytan calling to kufr. We are not loosing our children to Christianity. We are loosing them to no belief at all. So in this way you might say the Christians share the same problem we have. Probably our first call should be to those who do not believe in god at all and share the message of the peace of Islam. For more on this, go to islamtoday.com/peace.
