My father does not have permission to leave the country but my mom and I do. Since my father is the only one who works, does this leave as an opportunity to wait for him until he gets his papers so that we may go together? My mom tells me that for her and I Hajj is not still not Fard because we are not financially ready. If you can please advise us as to what we should do in this particular situation. Our service is for both Muslims and non-Muslims, we work as a community center that offers service to all community members. We have designed programs that help Muslims better their understanding about their religion. Also, we have programs for non-Muslims that aim at offering a better understanding of Islam and fight stereotypes. In addition, we reach out to other community and governmental organizations.
Our volunteers are a mix of all backgrounds and sub-communities, yet we focus on young people.
We put our volunteers always in touch with training programs that are offered by the local council and other organizations like skills for life programs, community safety programs, child protection training and many other things that enable them be effective in volunteerism.

My question is related to beard. I am confuse that if our prophet Muhammad (saws)'s hadith clearly indicate to trim the moustache and grow the beard then who some Ulema (with respect) does not follow and trim the beard. I know that the practicality about Umar bin Khattab that he cut which is more than one fist, but lot of Ulema either trim much below one fist or sometimes even clean shave it. Isn't it that we should follow Allah(swt) and his messanger?

iam an educated but from financialy and educationaly backward family.
one man came forward to give a life to me.he is very religious and very kind.
but his father is against to this proposal.from last 2 month onwards he is trying
to get permission from his father through his father's friends and islamic scholars.
but he is yet not ready to accept my family due to some reason(eg:family status etc).
not only that all his family Members are against to this proposal.if his father is ready to
agree this, they will agree with this.
He gave me promise that definetely he will give a life to me.and i wish to
live with him.because he is very religious and me too.and we took decison
to live by obeying islamic principles.also,now i cant live without him.i cant even
imagine another person in his place.
He is suffering a lot in between mine and his parents.He dont want to hurt his parents.
At the meantime he wish to give a life to me.now he is in a situation he cant go back
from this proposal(promise).
I feel very sad on seeing his situation.sincerly,iam always praying to allah to get
permission from his parents and also for his and his parents happiness..
WHAT WILL I DO?HOW CAN I HELP HIM??WHAT WILL HE DO??
there is 2 options infront of me.
1)drop this proposal for his parents happiness.if going forward with this
decision,iam not going to marry another guy..its my strong decision.
i mentioned the reason above.
also,if i marry him
i wil try my level best to bring back the happiness to his family
2)go with this proposal.but this decision will hurt his whole family.
but i dont want to hurt anybody.
our wish is to marry with the permission of his parents..In case if his parents
is still against to this proposal what will we do?is it against to responsibilty towards
the parents marrying without their permission?.we will
try our level best to fulfil the responsibility towards parents even if we get married
without their permission.

The coming plans inshaaAllah is to reach out more to non-Muslim community around with open days and also we are planning to do open days for schools. We are having a gym opening very soon in the mosque and at the moment there is swimming and hopefully we may set up a karate class soon. InshaaAllah we are planning also to expand the school of the mosque to serve a bigger number of people and to activate our website.

I think, it will come true by time. We need a lot of work though on the young generation. The problem is that Muslims are brining their packages from back home with them and each one living in the UK but still as if he is somewhere else. Only when the young generation take the lead, inshaaAllah things will start to change and they have already started. Make du`aa and do a lot of sincere work.

A Muslim should be thankful to Almighty Allah all the time, winning is a responsibility rather than just a privilege. Although it brings happiness with it, it places on you a lot of things to do to better your performance and be up to the expectations of people. Once you win, you should work hard to show to Allah before anyone that you are thankful to Him by offering more service and hard work. By large, it gives you assurance that there is appreciation for what you do and boosts you to do more.

Alhamdulilah, may Allah make us up to what our brothers and sisters think of us. I think our approach is unique in various ways:
1- We are working hard on giving the lead to the youth, you can say we are a youth led mosque.
2- We are also open for different view; we do not categorize ourselves into any camp or group. We are for the whole community.
3- Our activities are run in at least 6 languages spoken by every sector in the community.
4- We have Alhamdulillah managed to get the community back to this mosque after they had forsaken it, which is unique by the grace of Allah.
5- Above all, we are cooperating with many organizations in the local and the national level, reaching out to universities and schools and trying to activate the community rather than waiting for people to come to us.
