Question I can't understand how a country has is going towards westernazation and secularism where islam is getting lesser and lesser influence in society. Moroccans are Muslims and should live according to their belives, not according to the British and Americans dictations! When are we going to see that?
Answer Each nation's islamic reference or behavior is affected by its historical background, in the case of Morocco, there are special characteristic for the Moroccan islamic society in terms of practicing Islam that doesnt have to be the same of the Saudi Arabians for ex., because of the local and hisotrical effect which gives it a unique nature than others. So the muslims in Morocco maybe practiicng the islamic rituals but are engaged in other activities that doeasnt have to be the same of Muslims living in other countries.

Question Is it a joke to have elections which practially doesn't mean anything? It is well known that parties all have a red line where they can not cross. So If Morocco wanted an islamic state, a Caliphate (Morocco is not an islamic state according to many)would they be able to have this through elections? Why is the politics of Morocco towards the population very pro western and often anti islamic? I know it is sensitive questions but hope you can touch some of the issues. Wa sukran.
Answer The Moroccan constitution doesn’t state that Morocco is an Islamic state, however it’s a state with multiple political affiliations, including a political affiliation that doesn't put religion in the centre of its reference.

The political project that the Moroccan political elites have chosen is a practical project for life even though its practical characteristics aren't very clear but it doesn’t put religion as the main reference.

Question Salam, those elections in my view is nonsense and without any meaning. It is a joke! All the parties in the government whetether there are islamic, secular or nationalistic are all a part of the system. When those parties becomes a part of the system, there a not really critical, because when you can't even critizise a king, then it is a joke. Real Democracy in the muslim means that all the thrones and chairs will be removed by the people. That will never happend thorugh Democracy, because the West is supporting and protecting their agents in the muslim countries. Am I right or am I wrong? Thank you very much.

Answer A democratic system has many shapes, there are democratic monarchies such as the United kingdom that has a King however is democratic.

The elections in Morocco doesn't put sovereignty over rotation, sovereignty is granted to people by constitution, and the rule of elections isn't in rotation of sovereignty, but the rise of several elites, not to replace the King, but to work with the King, so it might not be a democratic system in Western terms, however its a plural system that gives the Moroccan citizen different choices to choose the political elite that presents him.
