Country Report For Y2K Compliance:
With the new millennium having arrived, people are scrambling worldwide to get their countries compliant for Y2K. The International Y2K Cooperation Center is dealing with the international scene. They have released many country reports and updates about Y2K to keep everyone abreast about the latest developments.
According to the center's findings, Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia are in the worst shape in the world regarding Y2K readiness. Out of 48 countries in the Sub-Saharan African region, just over half anticipate they will be ready for the supposed Millennium Bug. The same percentage goes for Asia, where only 19 of 39 countries reported partial or full readiness.
In the following graphic, the reddish line denotes the total number of countries in each respective region, and the bluish line denotes the number of countries reporting Y2K readiness.
