Pakistan to Launch its Space Satellite from Russian Pad ISLAMABAD (AFP) - Pakistan will soon launch its indigenously designed space satellite from a Russian launching station in Kazakhstan, an official report said. The country's Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) said the experimental satellite, Badar-2, will be launched from Kazakhstan, the Associated Press of Pakistan said. Badar-2 designed by Pakistani space scientists will be launched "very soon," it said without giving a date. The satellite will provide data on communications and weather forecasts, which SUPARCO will use for its future planning, the news agency said.
