Fundamentals Of A Happy Marriage – Part II

“Must Dos” of Every Relationship

Women and Shisha
A very strange habit is sweeping the Arab world; an alien habit preying on Arab and Muslim women. It is women competing with men to smoke Shisha in public cafes, on beaches, streets and sidewalks. Female students, young women, workingwomen, and other ordinary women suddenly find no shame in smoking shisha, even in public. This phenomenon has snuck into Arab culture in the past few years.

The Wise Woman
Our tradition is full of advice to women in general, especially those who are getting married. Advice such as: how to be a good wife, how to be a righteous wife, how to fulfill her husband’s needs, etc. What is conspicuous about our heritage is that most, if not all of this guidance is based on the assumption that it is the women who should do her utmost and sacrifice for the sake of her husband and her house. This issue is looked at as a “sacred” mission. It is a must that the woman has to do because she should only blame herself if the marriage collapses.
