Homosexuality Case Drags In Everything From Mickey Mouse To Islamic Receptions
The sodomy case against Anwar Ibrahim, ex-deputy minister of finance of Malaysia, is turning into a battle of evidence. The sacked politician told the court on Friday that a record of his official engagements in early 1993 proved he could not have sodomized his driver at the time alleged. The evidence could damage the case the prosecution has against the jailed leader.

2 Million Muslims Stream Into Bangladesh For 34th 'Biswa Ijtema'
 More than two million Muslims began streaming into this small industrial town on Saturday for the largest Muslim congregation after the Hajj (pilgrimage) in Mecca. Followers from 80 countries were gearing up for the 34th Biswa Ijtema - three days of prayers and teachings on the banks of the Turag River, 20 km (12 miles) outside of Dhaka.
