 Masonic Symbols of Millennial Celebrations Irk Egyptians
Cairo is witnessing heated religious and cultural debates on the symbols that will be used in the celebrations accompanying the new millennium. Archeologists and other academics argue that most of the symbols that the Egyptian celebrations are using correspond to Masonic symbols, such as the small pyramid atop the Great Pyramid found on the back of U.S. dollar bills. The huge celebrations are being choreographed by French artist Michel Jarre. Jarre is importing 250 French dancers for the show on Dec. 31, which will be broadcast live via satellite TV.

Hizbullah's Manar TV will begin broadcasting a program in Hebrew aimed at Israeli public opinion soon, according to the manager of the station. "The first stage will be a trial before we begin to broadcast in Hebrew via satellite," said Nayef Karim, manager of Manar TV. A "large team" of experts in the media, public opinion and Israeli affairs is working on the Hebrew programming, Karim told Islam Online. "The idea is psychological warfare against Israelis," to create a public push for Israeli withdrawal from the land it has occupied in southern Lebanon since 1982.
After more than a year of work, the U.S. House of Representatives refused to release a resolution acknowledging the significant contributions of American's 5 million Muslims to the country last month. The resolution, H.Con.Res. 174, was introduced by House Minority Whip David Bonior (D-MI) and the Chair of the National Republican Committee, Tom Davis (R-VA). Muslim and Arab groups in America said that the resolution would have shown it is willing to condemn anti-Muslim intolerance and would have promised to uphold a level of political discourse that does not scapegoat or stereotype Islam or Muslims.
