Iran's Reformists Faced with New Battle after Election Success
The Reformists in Iran have won the battle for votes with the conservatives. Now they have to fight to live up to the expectations of their voters and deliver on their campaign promises. The Iranian voters have placed an overwhelming trust in the agenda of the Reformists, who secured 170 of the 290 seats in the Majlis in the first round of the elections. In the second election round to be held in April, 65 seats will be contested.


Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid resumed his foreign journeys after favorable public opinion polls showed he had firm public support for his performance. Wahid, known fondly in his country as "the globetrotter," firmly believes that his country will not split despite separatist movements in at least three hotspots.


It is the belief of the Nation of Islam that their alleged "Allah in Person," Master Fard Muhammad, was born in Mecca on Feb. 26, 1877, to an Arab father and a Caucasian mother. (Sunday's Libyan-sponsored Saviors' Day Convention was held to mark Fard Muhammad's birthday.)
