CHICAGO (IslamOnline) - Joining in world outrage over the killings of Palestinians, a citizen of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) said he will donate 1500 tons of stones to Palestinians to be used as weapons. The UAE businessman said that he would donate half a million stones made in the UAE ship them at his own cost to support the Palestinians. Sheikh Fath Ali Bin Abdullah al-Khaga published an advertisement in a newspaper yesterday for the import of the stones, placing a condition that the stones must be flint in proper sizes to throw at the Israelis. AL-Khaga said that he has already received offers and added, "there are successful communications to arrange its arrival to the heroes of the uprising." In the same region, more than 10,000 Muslims staged a march in Sharjah on Friday to condemn the massacre of Palestinians, Dubai's state news agency reported. Protesters "called on the international community to act quickly to stop the Zionist butchery perpetrated against our brother Palestinians people," the agency said. Students of Ajman University also tried stage a rally but were stopped by police worried they might cause traffic jams. A student of the University said, "In a matter of minutes, people had parked their cars and joined us, as also did passers-by. There weren't just Palestinians in the protest march, but UAE nationals, Saudis, Iraqis and Egyptians." UAE's government has said that it would treat the casualties of the uprising. Acting on the instructions of President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, ordered all relevant authorities to receive all Palestinian casualties of Israeli violence in the Occupied Territories. "The tragic situation in Palestine makes incumbent upon us to strongly stand by our Palestinian brothers in order to regain the honor and pride of the Arab nation," Sheikh Khalifa said. Details regarding how Palestinian casualties would arrive in the UAE, or how UAE would provide services in Palestine were unavailable. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
