Dire Moods Greet Summit Meeting

Angry student demonstrators decrying an emergency Middle East summit in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh clashed for a second day with police on Monday, minutes after world leaders kicked off their meeting aimed to end more than two weeks of violence between Israeli troops and Palestinians.

The "Million Family March"

Malaysia Unable To Follow Shariah Laws Practiced In Muslim Countries
Malaysia's Shari'ah laws cannot be the same as what is practiced in other Islamic nations. Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi said Malaysia could not adopt the same system adopted by Indonesia, Egypt, Pakistan or Saudi Arabia since the country contains diverse racial and religious backgrounds.
