WASHINGTON (IslamOnline) – A number of American missionary groups have established the “Institute for Islamic Studies” somewhere in Latin America to teach enough about Islam to invade Muslim countries and try to convert Muslims to Christianity. Groups with seemingly harmless names, such as the California-based “Partners International,” have sweeping plans to send missionaries to Muslim countries in Central Asia such as Uzbekistan, to Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, to South Asian countries such as India, and to North African countries. “Most important of all, thousands of Muslims will hear the Good News for the first time in their lives,” according to the website of Partners International. The Institute for Islamic Studies has been established in an undisclosed Latin American country, and currently has about 80 students. Two teams of missionaries have already been sent to Muslim nations, Partners said. Three more teams are scheduled to go by next year. The reason Latin Americans are doing the work is because many Muslim countries do not allow U.S. workers in. So the American missionaries have become creative in finding nationals of other countries, mostly from countries considered harmless by Muslims, to do their work. “Work in the Muslim world will continue to be expanded through training on practical aspects of work among Muslims, as well as conferences, which are scheduled in Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Brazil,” the Partners website said. Partners relates the story of a missionary in Malaysia identified only as “Charles,” who has been proselytizing along the coasts of Malaysia for 10 years. Partners also considers Northern India, which has a high concentration of Muslims, to be “highly resistant to the gospel.” But its missionaries have nevertheless been able to penetrate 11 Indian states. “They are rejoicing that in the midst of increasing persecution, 5,000 people are currently awaiting baptism. Government opposition to the faith has also united churches of all denominations. New alliances are being forged as the Spirit gathers all His people,” the group’s website said. |
