BEIRUT,
October 23 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - Hezbollah Secretary
General Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah warned the United States against waging
a war on Iraq, saying that Arabs and Muslims are not “Red Indians”
who can be liquidated.
In
a speech given during a party rally in Beirut, which was broadcast by
the Qatari satellite channel, Al-Jazeera, on Tuesday, October 22,
Nasrallah said that the Untied States is coming to control the region
and knows that if it comes with its army to Iraq, it is not staying for
long.
“The
American administration and Israel must understand that Arabs and
Muslims are not Red Indians whom they could liquidate or isolate in the
deserts and mountains,” he said, adding that the start of the
American/Israeli attack on the region would mean the end of the U.S.’s
clout on the world.
“The
battlefield will witness a conflict which is not equal. In this
battlefield, people are the leaders, people are the soldiers, it is not
an organization which could be broken apart or have its finances
frozen,” he said.
The
United States is threatening to wage a war on Iraq to overthrow
President Saddam Hussein if he does not agree to disarm from alleged
weapons of mass destruction
