President Bush or Prince Bush?

Bush’s new-found relative?

LONDON, September 18 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - According to U.K media reports, President Bush shares the royal family tree in the U.K. and is related to Prince Williams.

On Tuesday, September 17, the Financial Times said that Bush received a boost from an unlikely source: the Bush family tree.

Quoting the genealogical website www.ancestry.co.uk which will be launched on Wednesday, September 18, the Times said that George Bush has common ancestry with former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Bush “may be proud to discover that his common ancestry with Sir Winston dates back to 1420. Looking back 582 years, the native Texan can even claim linkage to the heir to the throne, Prince William,” said the paper.

The website, which is being run by U.S.-based www.MyFamily.com, will on Wednesday publish original images from the 1891 census, and has signed a licensing agreement with the Public Record Office in the U.K. to publish more than 7m images and 130m names from censuses taken between 1841 and 1891, reported the Financial Times.

According to the BBC’s online news service, the company came across the link between the Royal Family and the Bush dynasty during research to put Victorian censuses and other family history documents online.

Researchers from the firm traced the link back to Henry Spencer who lived in Badby, Northamptonshire, during the 15th century, said the paper.

Troy Dunn, vice-president of MyFamily, said the information was brought to light by researchers preparing records for browsing by subscribers to the U.S. site. The research threw up a link to the family of Winston Churchill and then one to the family of Diana Spencer, it said.

Anyone subscribing to the site will be able to search name records for their ancestors and then look at indexed pages of the census records to find out where their relatives lived, where they came from, their age and what they did for a living, the BBC reported.
