WEST BANK, August 5 (IslamOnline) – Demolishing my house and
throwing a family in the streets doesn’t seem to be enough for the
Israelis, as they now want to expel my children one by one, the father
of a Palestinian pharmacist said Monday, August 5.
Mohamed
Ahmed El-Agoury, said in an interview with IslamOnline, that the
Israeli army decided to expel his daughter, Intisar, to Gaza, after
they abducted him earlier and released him when his health
deteriorated and was almost dying.
“Under
which law or principles can they take a girl from her home to another
place where she knows no one and has no place to go without committing
anything to be punished for,” he asked.
“All
her crime is that her brother Ali is one of the most active members of
Fatah movement and is behind many resistance attacks against
Israelis.”
Intisar,
who was expelled from Nablus to Gaza Saturday, August 3, after being
administratively abducted by the Israelis for six months, was not the
first member of her family to be expelled or abducted as her father
was arrested earlier then released after his health deteriorated.
Moreover,
Israeli Attorney General Elyakim Rubinstein decided Thursday, August
1, to expel her 28 years old brother Kifah, who is married and father
of two, to Gaza for two years.
“She
didn’t commit any crime to be expelled or arrested, and she
doesn’t have any information about our brother whom Israel was
chasing a long time ago,” said Itisar’s 23 years old sister Amal.
Under
which international law or code can a whole family be punished,
arrested and expelled because of charges against one of its
members,” she added.
In
addition to the brother and sister of Ali El-Agoury, another man
was expelled by the Israelis.
Abdel
Nasser Assidi, 34, father of five, faces banishment as his brother
Nasreddin helped carry out an attack on a bus outside the Jewish
settlement of Emmanuel to the southwest in July, in which nine
Israelis were killed.
The
Israeli government’s new policy of expelling relatives of wanted
Palestinian from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip to retaliate for
attacks has drawn wide criticism from different parties outside
and inside Israel.
Rubinstein
said he objected to the expulsions if they were based solely on the
fact that the detainees were related to militants, saying “tangible
evidence of their direct involvement in terrorist activity” was
needed.
