told AFP that
Israel
had effectively wiped out Palestinian autonomous areas set up in the
1993
Oslo
accords and reduced them to areas where the Palestinians have
administrative control but the Israelis run security matters.
"Israel
has given itself security responsibility for the whole of the West
Bank after they destroyed the Palestinian security
infrastructure," he said.
Dozens
of extreme right-wing Jewish extremists and ultra-Orthodox meanwhile,
rioted and refused to leave the compound surrounding Joseph's Tomb in
Nablus
protesting the pull back of the Israeli occupation forces, which are
redeploying in another Palestinian territories.
The
extremists, who entered the complex overnight, have been involved in
confrontations with Israeli occupation troops, Israeli daily
newspaper, Ha’aretz, reported Sunday.
Occupation
army sources said that they intend to arrest the rioters, in order to
allow
Israel
’s troops to complete its redeployment.
"The
withdrawal from Nablus has been delayed because it appears there are
several worshippers inside Joseph's Tomb and we have to get them
out," an Israeli military source said, Ha’aretz reported.
Israel
radio has reported that some ultra-Orthodox Jews had paid an
unauthorized visit to pray at the tomb.
Israeli
occupation forces meanwhile invaded the Palestinian refugee camps of
Qalandiyah and Der Amar in Ramallah and abducted tens of Palestinian
civilians from the two camps early Sunday.
Witnesses
said Israeli occupation soldiers were searching the residents’
houses.
They
didn’t mention any injuries.
